  1. Nice assessments of the RB's. Lynch, off-field issues aside, is a good football player. Jackson is also a good player but I think Lynch is a better back to pound the ball with. Someone likely will get injuredand with Gailey's dedication to run the ball, a crowded backfield is essential.
  2. Agreed. I also expect Spiller to be involved with returns as well.
  3. Looking at that pick reminded me how OJ hardly wore any pads when he played. Dude must live on anti-inflammatories. The uni's were great. I especiallly liked the blue jerseys with white pants during the Joe Cribbs days.
  4. None. But many of them should. Like in Maybin's case.
  5. Why asap? This team is going nowhere in 2010. I could care less if he misses the whole preason. It will make no difference when the Bills miss the playoff again.
  6. Spiller will get into camp at some point. But is it really that critical he be in early? This team is so far from being a playoff contender, Spiller's presence will really have no legit meaning when the Bills end the season. Sad but true.
  7. Point well taken. The Bills had two drafts to add a legit NFL-ready LT and chose not to. It's going to bite them in the ass.
  8. I miss Staba's wing report. Dickerson was one entertaining dude. I haven't heard anything on either.
  9. The article referred to skin cancer which must have been a malignant melanoma. Another reminder to use your sunscreen and see your dermatologist yearly. Condolences to the Cowher family.
  10. Clearly you never saw Leif Larson in action. Tim "bag of knives" Anderson made a pretty good pizza back in the day.
  11. If Gailey gets this squad to 8 wins he should be friggin' coach of the year.
  12. Nix- career scout now GM. The guy seems a little crude and unpolished on camera but if he results in better drafts, who cares? Can't blame him for the Gailey hire. No one else really wanted to coach in Buffalo outside Frazier from Minn. Gailey- good offensive coordinator who should improve the offense. Does not appear to have great communication and leadership abilities. Gets credit for taking job no one else wanted. Suspect he can get the bills to 8-8 in a couple of years. I don't expect much else.
  13. Did you see the predraft segment on ESPN where John Gruden broke down film with Clausen? He did come across as arrogant and aloof. I have no doubt that CJ Spiller will be a good pro. However, if Clausen can play, and Troup cannot, this is all on Nix. On the flip side, if Troup can play Nix gets labeled a genius. We won't know the answer for the next 3 years.
  14. And lil' Donte will tell you he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
  15. At this point Ellis, Hardy, and McCargo are not decent prospects. They are not capable of playing to any degree of effectiveness in the NFL. I will add Aaron Maybin as well. They may make the team however simply because the talent level on the roster is so poor right now. And in Maybin's case, he makes the team solely because he was a 1st round pick last year. If he was a free agent, he'd be gone. Harris may stick. I haven't seen enough of him to make an educated evaluation. Parrish is one heck of a punt returner but I suspect Spiller will push for that role.
  16. C'mon man! Kobiyashi needs no introduction. By the way, who won the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest this year?
  17. I admire your enthusiasim. Have a great time win or lose!
  18. First Kelly bashes Trent by criticizing Cali QB's playing in Buffalo. Now he hopes Edwards starts.
  19. Upside is similar to potential. In the words of Bill Parcells, "it means you haven't done nothing yet."
  20. A similar thing happened to Jack Nicholaus' grandson several years ago. Tragic. My heart goes out to that boy's family.
