    What talent and ability? He can't shed a block, gets blown off the line of scrimmage, and is built like a WR. If not for his draft status, he wouldn't even be on the team.

    Well, it's not like he was a star player that had an all-pro career cut short by injury. It hurts from the standpoint of further hindering the rebuilding process at OBD. But yes, he's too lanky and weak to be an effective player in the NFL. He's probably the biggest bust of the decade for the Bills. At least Mike Williams played.

    He appears to be the leader for the #2 spot. Sadly, it's a reflection of just how little talent there is behind Lee Evans.

    Does anyone honestly think Maybin would still be on the roster if he were a street free agent and not a #1 pick a year ago? Seriously. This guy will be the posterboy for the ineptness of the Bills franchise for the past decade. And James Hardy is right behind him. This guy has the IQ of a tree stump.

    Personally, I don't see the excitement over Shawn Nelson. His physique is "maybinesque" and had all of 17 receptions last year for a TE position that was devestated by injuries. Why the hype going onto 2010?

    Please. It wouldn't matter if Will Wolford, Jim Ritcher, Kent Hull, Billy Shaw, Joe D. or Howard Ballard were blocking. All JP could do was heave a ball down field that hopefully Lee Evans could run under and catch.

    And it also explains why guys like JP Losman fail. Look great in pads, strong arm, mobile, but piss poor accuracy and pocket awareness.

    Maybe the Bills delayed signing Maybin because they realized their mistake seeing how much he sucked during mini-camp. Did Spiller underwhelm in mini-camp too?

    Agreed. The Schoebel decision was entirely independant of Maybin. From what I read, Maybin is getting pushed around like a rag doll at the point of attack. And took a cheap shot at Fred Jackson. And talks like he's an all-pro. Thanks Russ Brandon , tom Modrak, or Dick Jauron for the Bills worst #1 draft pick the past decade.

    Agreed. No Tebow or Clausen to talk about, no TO, no big name free agents, and no big name head coach. Smells like a 3-5 win season hence the lack of enthusiasm.

    Personally, I think he wants to play one or two more years. He's a DE and not a LB so I can't blame the guy for not buying into the conversion. Somehow, I think he winds up playing DE for the Texans.
