The left tackle was in place but was traded to Philly. Clearly, Maybin will never be the DE that was envisioned. And the Qb, that will come in the 2011 draft where the Bills are positioning themselves nicely for the #1 pick.

The Bills had no pass rush when Schoebel went down with his Lis franc foot injury and had no guarantee he would ever play again. DE was a major need as was the O-line. The Bills drafted Wood also in the 1st round and traded up in the 2nd to draft Levitre to shore up the O-line. As fate would have it Schoebel did come back and played well. And Maybin sucked.

My choice was not listed. It is justifying the lousy play by saying the team is rebuilding even though no such rebuilding is occuring.

Trent's a bright, likeable guy. But in the 2nd quarter I saw a player with a look of hopleless and and quit in his eyes as if to say what the hell am I doing here. Further evidence he's not a viable long term solution to the bills qb woes. I think he's better than any of the Qb's curently on the Bills roster. I would not trade him however as that would make a bad season really embarassing.

Good news? In about 20 weeks the Bills look to be in prime position for the 1st pick in the 2011 draft. Seriously.

My new concern is the D-line. Where is the pressure going to come from? They were flat awful. Our pass rushing LB Maybin got tossed around like a rag doll. Maybe Buddy can convince Schoebel to come back. Seriously.
