I don’t agree about the defense. You are welcome to your opinion. Injuries are always going to occur. Bills lost probably their second best DT at the time in Harrison Phillips to a season ending injury in the third week. They overcame that. It’s about Depth. Beane seems to be able to find guys and make moves. I think this offseason will be about finding more depth. McDermotts defense is system based. Obviously better talent makes the system better. If anything cornerback is a need for 2020. As for JA and his fumbles, those are correctable. I will take JA and his trajectory over anyone else from that draft class. Josh was in the playoffs and he didn’t cost his team the game. No other QB from 2018 can say that.

I’ll take peoples healthy and good depth over the way a ball bounces.

They guy that I kind of feel for is Dave Caldwell the GM. He was put in a no win spot there by the owner with the hiring of Coughlin. For now Dave keeps his Job. Dave is a Buffalo guy. If he leaves Jax and some of the Bills FO gets picked off, love to see him in Buffalo as an Asst GM or head of scouting.

I don’t think it’s coincidence that these two positions are seen as very deep in this draft class. Also there will be more than a few Vets with star ability available at both those positions. I would love love love to see Shaq replace Murphy’s contract. Paying Shaq around $9 mil a year would be the right value. Drafting a guy early and/or Signing one of the tier one FA would be huge as well. Structure the FA deal so the cap hit real starts after Hughes has been cut after next season. Sorry, it’s just business. I love Jerry, but he probably won’t be worth his deal in 2021.

How long is it $10m a year for? Do you foresee an issue with signing Harrison or Oliver ?

Even that seems high to me because of the Starr contract and having to pay Harrison and Oliver in the near future. I also want money available for defensive end.

He isn’t a top 3 DT. He is probably the third or fourth best DT on our team. I hope someone else pays him top 3 DT and it is someone in the AFC and it prohibits them from making another signing In the future.

How does Marone get so many chances?

I know you don’t think this. For anyone on here who does go ask Titan fans who they would prefer, Allen or Mariota. I guarantee you would hear Allen far more than Mariota. Heck Tannehill has done more with that team than Mariota ever could.

I think a lot of people are discounting the injury time Kroft was out. Kroft doesn’t have the ceiling Knox does but he also is the best all around TE the Bills have today. Kroft missed a lot of time with Josh. I would like the Bills to keep Kroft, Knox, and Sweeney. Draft another developmental guy later in the draft.

Did you watch the Bills game and those 3 passing TD’s? Please keep up loving on Lamar. When the wheels fall off, as a Bills fan, I will love it. it will mean one less team the Bills need to worry about.

Two excellent points. The fourth and inches sideways play was very strange, you never see that on any level past peewee. Also you are exactly right about the personnel to play the Ravens. The Bills have done a good job so far with their Personnel. They can match up against any team Both on offense and defense. I point to zero blowout losses this year to help defend my point. Bills are a handful of players away from being a very good team for a long time. I think those players can and will be found by Beane and McDermott this year.
