  1. 70s. Lots of great teams that were not destroyed by free agency and instead were allowed to be great year after year. And what about the rams who won 10+ games for 7/8 years (5 in a 14 game season) and almost won Super Bowl the year they won 9.
  2. Was there...walked around like a zombie at halftime trying to be thankful for the two straight Super Bowl appearances. Most lasting memory is that a big percentage of our crowd - virtually the entire end zone crowd - went nuts after we scored to make it only 35-10. I was confused and thought these people either don't know football or had too much to drink. They knew better than I.
  3. The TO signing was an act of desperation That's when we unloaded peters land threw bell out at LT. Now we have a stud LT and are above average at the RT position.
  4. Let's give credit and criticism where it is due. Azar's call for the 2000 is an all time classic. Van was not good at containing his disappointment when things did not go well. A home town announcer needs to shift to the "it's just a game" reassurance mode when the team suffers a heartbreaking loss, Van was incapable of doing so. When he shared his sorrow in the wake of a defeat it was non-therapeutic. Reese of Philly and the late Bill King of Oakland are the true standard bearers. Jeanneret from the hockey world is at the Reese/king level but miller is not there.
  5. The next step is to get the Jets to move their training camp away from Central New York.
  6. Current regime knows they must win in '14
  7. So having the NFL(!!!) here will not be a draw to any employer considering the decision to stay in or expand to WNY.
  8. Great schedule. Everyone is complaining about the tough December. For a team missing the playoffs 14 straight years that's exactly what you want. To be mathematically alive as long as possible so you keep playing for something. League did as much as they could to help the bills this year IMO.
  9. I would have to see the proposed video montage with sound track before signing on.
  10. Because he's totally lost it?
  11. Yeah. A lot of people were not sold on Brady until he won his third world championship.
  12. Great, the bills have 4 #2 wideouts.
  13. Very true. The interesting piece and one that sets this potential franchise move apart is that as many as 50% of the must stay in buffalo voice either does not live in buffalo or never lived in buffalo. I don't think we saw the same thing with Baltimore or Cleveland.
  14. Expand the metro. lol. Haven't heard that one in a while!
  15. Correct. The NFL owners are absolutely powerless to revoke any current prohibition against public ownership.
  16. I will never forgive him for the the maybin pick when he was GM for 5 minutes.
  17. Ralph got his shots in. But that cost us the Miami playoff game that year. If you really want to see a game taken away by refs roll that tape.
  18. A "blow out"loss to Cincinnati in the 88 afc championship? You mean when Bruce owned Munoz and the refs called his third sack a 15 yard face mask penalty? Watch the tape.
  19. In the sense that it's his Shtick to ruffle WNY feathers and homerize "big time TO" he's awfully good at it. My jaw dropped when I saw this and I think it was the very day Mr. Wilson passed away. I don't have a problem if he's intentionally exaggerating and overstaying as part of his pro TO persona. Every city needs these types.
  20. Could just call them the Buffaloes. It's not like it would make the slap in the face any worse.
  21. Sal on NFL Radio this morning said that an argument that comes up AGAINST Tagliabu in the Hall of Fame Committee discussions is that he let the beloved Browns leave Cleveland. I love it when I hear these "heartstrings beat the $$" type arguments from legitimate sources. Its the only thing that keeps me going.
  22. My sense is that is not possible without a higher tee. They have been shrinking the tee for nfl kickers for years.
  23. The could actually work if they also let the kickers use a wicked high tee. Then you would have the option to either take the touchback or kick a high one to try to pin the opponent deep.
