Defaulting would likely be something along the lines of holding out in order to get an extension after year 3. -

In other news… “I’ve known this guy for a long time,” Trump said of former President Joe Biden. “He was never the sharpest bulb.” 🤣 -

Me neither. Im not a victim blamer, but these guys are at a higher risk of a false accusation, even the guys who are careful. There are women who weaponize this kinda thing (see Trevor Bauer, Araiza). A woman who wanted to do that to you, would have major leverage knowing about that clause to try and bully a dude into settling out of court an a baseless & consensual encounter. Wouldnt matter if i was the 2nd coming of Reggie White, Im not signing anything that says 'accusation or charge'. Its a dark thought, but a realistic one. Its painting a bullseye on your back. There are sufficient amounts of dirtballs in the NBA, but theres also a circle of hot females that target impregnations in the NBA as a paycheck. Itd be ignorant to pretend there arent women out there that would/have targeted this kinda thing before. Hell the Duke lacrosse lady did this, trying to get blood from a stone, those guys didnt even have sports money... was only going after mom & dad money. -
Ya i agree it's unfair but that's what agents are for, to get maximum guaranteed $ . That's not a Bills issue , it's a league issue and it is what it is, same thing with our jobs Tre's back in Buf and loving it so clearly there's no ill will, he understands it was just business and not personal.

If this is true, crazy to draft a guy this high IF thats such a major concern. Basically you took a dude you have zero trust in. Its like a last minute, day of wedding, pre-nup. I guess the story isnt very clear until we find out what "default" means. I'd guess the term 'default' is intentionally vague, not defined well... to try and give them leeway to get out for any reason they want to. If its a "dirtball" clause, and defined clearly ---i.e. "sexual assault conviction (certainly not 'accusation'), weapons charge, violence charge", sure Stewart should generally have no problem signing it. If it explicitly says the Bengals can get out of it for an injury, I think that would already be out there for us to know. Stewart would want to clear his name and prevent any 'tough guy to deal with' labels, PR battle. My final educated guess is broad/vague verbiage AND an attempt to be sneaky about it! They really are doing their best to go back to the cellar with the #3 QB in the league -

What if the person is charged, but not found guilty? That's been my issue with some of these suspensions and cuts, players getting accused and found innocent or unsubstantiated, but they still lose their NFL jobs. Matt Araiza comes to mind. He lost good money for being falsely accused. I wouldn't sign it unless it said convicted, but 🤷♂️ -

Man, I don’t like the Bengals at all but it’s too bad for Joe B. to be in such a cluster. He’s got some serious high level ability -

I'm no expert, but shooting someone may void his guarantee... -
I have never used that terminology for the Ravens or the Cowboys either. I don't really go in for attacking teams that win plenty but can't get over the hump in tournament play. Those teams are normally not far away and it is about finding the small modifications that you can try and use to get you there. Those modifications can be changing the coach or the General Manager. But I am just not persuaded that is the right lever to pull. Maybe I will get there. But I don't see it right now. There are, as I have said multiple times, three scenarios in which I am already clear I would fire McDermott: 1. The Bills missing the playoffs save for in a situation when they lose Josh Allen for a significant stretch. 2. The Bills losing a playoff game to a team they have a clear Quarterback advantage over (not a Mahomes, Burrow, Jackson). 3. Another clearly identifiable coaching blunder akin to 13 seconds. You can have one mulligan. You don't get two. Any of those 3 scenarios would convince me the coaching is the issue. I may get there in other scenarios too. But those are the 3 that are obviously identifiable.

there are 4 pages previously re-litigating a play that happened when Keon Coleman was still at FSU. Blaming me for taking this train off the tracks is deeply unfair.

If the Bengals ever do win a Super Bowl, the players better be okay with paying for their own rings. -
It's so tough because the defensive roster has been built pretty specifically for McDermott's defensive scheme. Moving on from him would be a likely lost year the following season. Plus, you'd lose a lot of quality position coaches on both sides of the ball. The one scenario that would make sense to me is making Joe Brady the head coach if McDermott's defense underachieved in the playoffs again. Brady will be hired elsewhere next year if he repeats anything close to what he achieved last year so why not make the head coach him. Keeping Beane in place and most of the staff in place while either keeping Babich as DC or finding some other defensive coordinator that knows McD's scheme. That way Josh Allen would have more stability at the offensive coordinator position as opposed to a revolving door of offensive coordinators he's had up to this point in his career.

All this when I said Cam Newton wasn't a good QB? Of the 53 man roster, no one else is good enough to win a Super Bowl except Josh Allen? What actually do you mean there? Like their talents aren't good enough to be on a Super Bowl winning team? -
He might. Granted he's a bubble player but he's a special teamer, knows the system and we aren't overwhelmed with LB depth. They saw something in him that they didn't in Nick Morrow last year
