Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?
Buffalo4Life01 replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's like a lot of people here are not able to apply any context to the offensive game plan last night. Miami was playing, for the most part, 2 high with a spy in the middle of the field. They were happy to give up the short stuff all night and Allen gladly took what they gave. Allen was patient and so was Brady. They didn't press and force turnovers like they would have in years past. This offense is showing it has the ability to adapt how it plays against any defense. To me, this is very encouraging. People need to RELAX!! -
Sounds like the Tom Brady Patriots for so many years. Play mistake free football and wait for the other team to beat themselves. That's what it should 90% of the time, and Allen and Cook can out on their capes the other 10% of the time and make explosive plays when needed.

Nice win but? But nothing... It was a nice win... 3 and 0... Next...

My initial reaction to the game was the Bills didn't play all that well and I was watching last year's defense. Allowing all those 3rd and long conversions. But it was a win as the result of a 10 point 4th quarter. I think it comes down to expectations. We expect them to win and win by a big margin in a dominant fashion. That's what the point spread was saying. And when it doesn't happen a lot of fans are not happy. The team is 3-0. I expect they'll be at least 6-1 going into the week 9 game against the Chiefs. Win that game and they'll have at least a 2 game lead on the Chiefs in the race for the 1 AFC seed. Expectations are as high as they can get, a Super Bowl win. Sometimes good teams play down to the level of competition. I think that's what happened last night. They're going to have to put up a better effort and eliminate some mistakes when the level of competition is higher. Nobody with the team is going to admit it but last night it felt like they took their foot off the gas and did what it took to win. Reinforcements are coming when injured and suspended players return on defense. The offense looked flat and still scored 31 points. No need for panic.

Over the years I have learned to not get as frustrated about fans behaviors, typically they are very emotional and irrational, but to criticize the #1 offense in the league in many metrics, a team that wins, a team that is balanced, a team that doesn't turn it over, a team that scores a lot, a team who is consistent whether its in the regular season or playoffs is just beyond stupid.

Allen doesn't commit turnovers like early in his career. That's most important

Yes they absolutely will apologize. At precisely noon on the 12th of Never. The last week summarized: - Leftists brand Charlie a "fascist" - A 22-year-old leftist kills Charlie because he believes Charlie is a "fascist" - Thousands of leftists celebrate Charlie's murder - Leftists lie about the leftist killer being a leftist - Leftists lie about lying about the killer being a leftist -
The defense will get better when/if we get our full complement of players back available

I think in a game where the oppositions best 3 defensive players are all defensive linemen, you get the ball out quick. The jets had some better DBs, but another defensive line that has given us some problems. Running allows your linemen to play in more of an attack mindset. Same with all of that quick stuff to the sideline, less protection, more hitting. Execution too. Missed blocks. Drops. The keon sideline to me was a poor throw, probably still should have had it, but that ball shoudl have been higher and more outside. -

Walker had a big hand in why Tua was forced to throw and not hold the ball. The big fella is winning a lot of mafia hearts -

Let’s be honest, our biggest play downfield is defensive pass inference. That all we have. But nothing to see here. Brady is god. -

if you listen to allens press conference he essentially says this exact things. There is no reason to take risks and put the ball in harms way when you are playing a team that will make critical mistakes. -

You are for the most part correct, the “lull” moments in moving the ball were primarily a play calling issue, it became predictable, that is where the break downs occurred. -

Good point on catching the ball -
I think the challenge there is that he's 6'2 with short arms, sub 300 lbs, and never played guard in college.

Were you able to see if the Dolphins were in a Cover 2 or 3? This is Mahomes problem I believe with the deep ball…that defense. Mel Kiper wanted to ban this defense lol. -

Thats why I have said we need to have 3 or 4 plays that would be go to depending on circumstances. But that of course would require our receivers to stop dropping easy catches at the most in opportune times . -
Bosa has more impact in 3 games , than Von made in 3 years

Bernard is a good player, worth getting a second contract. Very cerebral. There is reason why he's the co-captain and calling plays. But he's not someone the opposing offenses will game-plan for "we can't let him beat us." His size and the fact O-Lineman, FBs, some TEs getting hands on him can take him out of the play most of the time means he needs a strong D-Line to keep him clean to be effective (most MLBs are that way but Bernard more so). The Bills have a bunch guys like that. Milano (better shedding blocks though), even the new Shaq Thompson who is another undersized LB but flashed instincts and made Milano like plays. Beane and McDermott took a swing at a guy who, like a raw Josh Allen, has all the raw talent to be a superstar on defense in MLB position but missed (or you can say got a ground ball single barely made out of infield); he's now wearing the Bears jersey. -
Week 3, Fish v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
BuffaloRebound replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed but that still gets called 80% of the time when your in space and the ref has clear view. Cant put yourself in that situation. Not a good decision by Kincaid and against a better team could’ve cost the game.
