I don’t know where i stand with Joe Brady
WickedGame replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t like his play calling, but that doesn’t mean it’s not working. True, there are individual plays that don’t work — and often look incompetent — but then you get to the end of the game and look at the scoreboard and we’ve put up another 30-point game. And yes, there are patterns that are frustrating, too: The screens that leave you holding your breath; the over-reliance on mesh concepts; the inability to scheme open receivers. But again…infuriating as it may be in the moment, the scoreboard speaks louder than the stat sheet. And perhaps most importantly, while I have lots of anxiety about our offense, I also have more faith in the offense to overcome its weaknesses than I do the defense. That’s more bc of 17 than Brady, but regardless I never feel hopeless when we’re within a score and Josh has the ball. Now the defense on the other hand…I’m not so sure. Improving, for sure. But would I trust them against McVay and Stafford in the Super Bowl? Nope. -

We all know it’s hard to watch your own team do that, let alone other teams…, -
Can we just take ‘em all off the field and replace them with extra linemen or TEs that actually amount to more than just window-dressing? Then just run “schnowplow” wedge formations from here on out? ❄️🤔Maybe invent whole new offensive formations using pre-forward pass schemes as inspiration? Talk amongst yourselves!!

Rob Reiner may have died (edit: TMZ reporting it is him now)
US Egg replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall
Sad. Kind of lost in the legend of Archie Bunker was Reiner’s portrayal of the excellent Mike Stivic character. The real life Reiner shown through in it and the very real issues he brought out playing that role were spot on. He was a legend in his own right. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
Riverboat Ritchie replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. Just watched segment. Has always been a Bills hater for some reason. Probably extra grumpy today as his beloved high school team De La Salle got crushed last night in CA states. -
Has Josh Allen put himself back in the race for MVP this year??

It’s Stafford or Josh if season ended today. -

Yea, Allen was the heavy favorite with about 3 weeks left last year. Lamar closed the gap towards the end of the season, but Josh was still the favorite after week 18. Every reputable sports book stopped accepting bets on MVP after the regular season ended, but Polymarket was still accepting bets. Polymarket had their odds shift to Lamar as favorite after he was named first team All-Pro.

Agreed. Great win. Hostile environment. Opponent playing for a tshirt and coming off a bye. That was a championship caliber win. I thought officiating was bad. But not totally slanted toward us. And we deserved whatever breaks we did get after the noncall on Shakir in game 1 changed the trajectory of the season.
