I agree but on the grand list of policy blunders greater than tariffs l'm still waiting to hear any admission from the left that inviting in 12 million generally unvetted illegals dependent on public assistance funds at the state and federal level, sucking up finite resources and producing next to nothing, not to even mention crime generally against legal immigrants, wasn't just as dumb if not dumber. So it's hard to buy into the puzzlement of why won't rational people admit tariffs are dumb when Liberals and Democrats, except for Maher and Carville, won't dare to never ever admit to any policy errors of even the slightest significance.

He's probably just sending a message after fully participating in camp up to this point. I wasn't a fans of Cooks tweets and antics earlier in the year but I am very pleasantly surprised with how he's handled business this summer. Guys on other teams are "holding in", showing up but not practicing etc. Meanwhile Cook is being a total professional. If he wants to ride a bike a few times I'm all for it. Bills are getting a highly motivated Cook for the next six months and then Cook gets a big contract from another team next year. Win win for all.

That was my initial thought as well. I don't understand the reasoning of going through camp, saying you're here to work, then just... Not. The only reason I can think is he either got lowballed so bad that he feels slighted or that they informed him/his agent that he's getting traded. Now I'm on team pay the man so I don't really want to see him traded, but he's likely one of the only few players they have that could be part of a big trade instead of giving up multiple 1st round picks.

I don’t necessarily assume that. When it’s someone disingenuous doing the posting, someone that has described himself as fiercely independent but who reliably takes the democrat position, I think it’s ok to play devils advocate.

Ankles can linger but if they are given proper time to rest (which with over a month left until the opener there’s a good a chance he gets the rest he needs). Issue with in season injuries is they tend to rush people back.

And its 100% his agents way of pushing Beane back to the negotiation table--- I see this as communication slowed and his agent isnt happy with Beanes stalling. Cook will be on the field Week 1, when it matters.
