  2. Fall. Hoody season, ya dig?
  3. No problem with Newsome being a liar?
  4. You both are a joke.
  5. Absolutely huge! Worst scandal ever. The commies will N E V E R recover from this.
  6. Today
  7. Very good deal considering what you pay for NFL+ Premium.
  8. Grabbing the money like he does WR’s. Great for him!
  9. It sounds like he didn't make the qualifiers rookies are required to do when they enter the week before the vets. As mentioned in another thread, the MTC guys, specifically Pat Kirwan who was the assistant GM for the Jets among other coaching and front office duties for 25-30 years. He mentioned it’s not uncommon when they didn't come in, he would immediately place a player on PUP until he passes the qualifiers. Additionally, he mentioned it’s a huge mistake for front offices and coaches go soft and allow them to practice. It sends a message the rules doesn’t matter. I agree. So bottom line is Jackson, get moving. If Im wrong and those insiders are wrong, I'll stand corrected, but it makes too much sense.
  10. Excellent work
  11. I was listening to. Movin the Chains yesterday, and Pat and Jim believe he’ll get $1 mil. More than Gardner so basically $33.5 mil / yr. For four years. The MTC guys have been pretty accurate to date.
  12. They just went from the Chargers to the urinals. Going from one of the nicer unis to basically one of the ugliest.
  13. Kick the tires? Yeah, fair enough. Can't see how it would work out with the cap and his age and with a new contract being a problem. But I love McLaurin, great player, great attitude. Getting older, but a good guy.
  14. I watched almost the whole 2nd half. The non calls weren’t even the worst part. Game was on ESPN. Clark didn’t have a great game with the shooting - but she almost always makes the right pass. She could have 15 assists a game if layups get made. She played fine - despite being relentlessly hounded like Sophie was there. She’s clearly not 100 percent either - and at the end re injures her groin. The announcers - just imagine watching a Mahomes in year 2 game. And the announcers spend almost the whole game going out of their way to tell you how bad he’s struggling bc he’s only 10-18 passing for 176 yards at halftime. He overthrew a few guys that were wide open. They don’t need to fawn over her. Or ignore if she’s struggling. But every miss we were reminded she’s 1-28 from 3 on the road this season. She’s hurt. She’s missed 9 games. You got the impression she stinks. They seemed to be enjoying it. That’s how you market your league? More specifically this unicorn. It was so embarrassing. Clark finished 14 points 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The Fever were a plus 21 with her on the court. The next closest was plus 11.
  15. Elijah Moore couldn't tie McLaurin's shoes.
  16. They don't have a QB worth top dollar, so where else can the money be spent? Pay your talent.
  17. Congratulations to Sam Fenton @GunnerBill Big moment in england football
  18. Wilson was a good deal. This one will not look great. He had a poor year (coincidentally, I'm sure, after they actually started calling his holding) and has shown immaturity frequently. He's going to look a lot more like he did last year than the previous.
  19. We should keep track of overreacting posters, just so they can be properly shamed when certain formal, transactional moves are revealed to be standard, minor injury management. Not that anyone cares about their own reputations for overreaction. Accountability is some bygone virtue.
  20. Nice post, Roscoe. You say it gets harder on the borderline elite players. I'd say also that it's even harder yet on guys at positions that are not high-impact positions, which includes RB. If Cook were as effective as he is at, say DE, I think the Bills would value him highly enough that they'd be in Cook's neighborhood on value and would find a way to sign him. Sauce is at a high impact position and that adds to his leverage a great deal.
  21. Under. They both have to show me they can consistently catch the football and make the big catch first.
  22. Oh, jeez, glad to hear that part. My heart was in my throat. The Cole Bishop comparison isn't a great one, IMO. Safety has to essentially run the backfield and know what's going on everywhere. DEs still have a ton to learn but not on the level that a safety does. Still would suck if he has to miss much time.
  23. Glad I'm not a Bengals fan. Ownership is such crap there.
  24. And yet Todd Collins led the 2nd largest comeback in Bills history (26 points), outdueling Jim Harbaugh and Marshall Faulk in the process.
  25. That part is correct and he wouldn't be the first to do it though it is very rare rare. Bo Jackson did it. He was drafted first overall in 1986 by Tampa Bay. He didn't sign with Tampa (which he told them before the draft), played baseball, went back into the draft in 1987, and was selected by the Raiders in the 7th round where he ultimately signed and played two sports. John Elway made a similar threat when he threatened to play for the Yankees than play for the Colts. Had that actually happened and refused to sign with the Colts, baseball or no, he would have gone into the 1984 draft. The piece that I don't think is accurate with the current situation is the going back to college to play part. From what I've seen, the player forfeits their right to play in college when they declare for the NFL draft and can't go back. There are rules about that and he'd probably have to sue his way back onto the field at Texas A&M. However, If he doesn't play at all, the Bengals don't retain his rights and he goes back into the draft and can be drafted again in 2026 by anyone EXCEPT the Bengals. Other players who did this were Craig Erickson who was drafted by the Eagles in 1991, did not sign, and was then drafted again by the Buccaneers in 1992 and Melvin Bratton who was drafted by the Dolphins in 1988, did not sign, and was drafted again by the Broncos in 1989. Both players had serious knee injuries in their bowl games prior to the draft that significantly impacted their draft status, and they ultimately couldn't come to an agreement with the teams that chose them. They both went back into the draft the following year and were re-drafted. The Bills acquired Cornelius Bennett in a similar situation. He was drafted by the Colts and refused to sign. He was well on his way to sitting out the 1987 season and going back into the 1988 draft when the Colts traded his rights on Halloween night of 1987. The Bengals have until Week 10 to sign the player. If not, he's essentially, though not officially, gone. If Stewart really really wants out he can make this happen and someone will make the trade. Collusion in this situation would be exceedingly easy to prove so I don't think the league will try to orchestrate that. In the previous situations there were extenuating circumstances. Bo played baseball and communicated clearly to teams not to choose him because he was going to play baseball (Al Davis talked him into doing both and baseball was top priority). It was understandable why he would drop from 1st overall to the 7th round the next year. Bratton and Erickson were hurt at the end of their college careers (and probably got bad advice). In the current situation, the player was clearly a 1st round choice, had no injury concerns and sat a year. It would not be reasonable for him to drop very far next year and if the league colluded and he suddenly went undrafted that would be a slam dunk case for Stewart. It won't get to that point. The Bengals won't just let a 1st round choice walk away. They will either cave on the language or trade the player. With the money college kids now receive, they are MUCH more able to sustain a holdout like this and it will be interesting to see if this happens more often in the future. Yes, he should stick to his guns. You can bet that all the other agents are in his corner and the NFLPA is quietly rooting for him to continue the holdout as well.
  26. Had forgotten about this one
