We may have tried to get him. But we obviously pivoted to spending a 1st Round Pick on Maxwell Hairston and signing Tre White as veteran insurance (not to mention also Drafting Dorian Strong and Jordan Hancock, who may or may not fall under the Safety Depth chart). I think the ship has sailed on whatever our interest in Alexander was. The CB room is crowded now as is. To bring him in would mean Maxwell Hairston would be playing the Kaiir Elam role of 3rd Outside CB that doesn't really see the field outside of injury (and may be a healthy scratch like Elam was for his lack of Special Teams). On top of that, with Benford, Alexander, Hairston, and Taron as locks - that would leave 1 spot (maybe 2) for all of Tre White, Dorian Strong, Ja'Marcus Ingram, and Dane Jackson. Possibly even Jordan Hancock if they decide he's only a Nickel CB.

Very fair. We haven't seen McD with an elite def unit (healthy) come playoffs- unit or player at an impact position DE, CB). Im more pro McD than anyone else here. I think Beane has made so many great moves/and depth, but ultimately has failed at finding an elite defensive talent. Thats likely Beane+Coach+others making those decisions, so its not all on Brandon. Just think we'd see much different results on defense, if we had a Josh Allen equivalent - like the Chiefs, Eagles, Bengals, 49ers, etc have had to make a deep run.

I think he’s going to be a solid rotational player while Hoecht is out and then when Bosa inevitably misses time with injury. Statistical predictions are really my thing for edge rushers, but I think we’ll be happy with his play He’s not even close to 310 lbs. think more like 260ish. Not sure positive, but pretty sure that sites, including the Bills are still using his college weight

Why we looking back 7 games? All way back to 2020? Im looking at recent games: 2022-2024. Yeah Cincy could have easily scored 30, if they didnt take the foot off gas and we would've needed 30 against KC. Point being, what did we "need" to score to win based on game. Agree offense underperformed. Sometimes, actually alot of times, I dont think you read other posts. Sorry youre either incacapable of that or just too lazy. I mentioned exactly what you said, both underperformed- it is my opinion, the defense has had no answers for Bengals/Chiefs 2022-2024. There's a reason the investment went there this offseason.

Now I know you’re confusing me with someone else. I am not and have never been a domer (someone who cares deeply about wanting a dome). If it was my choice, I probably would have chosen a dome - but as my post history shows, I said I am fine with open air too. In fact, the last time I mentioned the word “dome” in a post was 7 months ago when I said the only reason I’m surprised they didn’t decide on a dome is because of the liability of slick steps. Before that, it was a 16 MONTHS ago that I last mentioned anything about a dome and it was to joke around with the domers. So… 1 post in 7 MONTHS is “at least twice a month” to you? Or maybe it was 2 posts in 16 MONTHS that put it over the top for you? And this was all preceded by the doozy that I “crusade” in this thread - of course that was before the truth came out that i’ve only had 14 of the past 500 posts in this thread. Oh BURN On paper, Alexander has only played one (almost) full season in the last 4 - 2022. 4 games in 2021, 7 games in 2023 and 2024. But in practice, it's worse than that. For example, he played 7 games last season, but of the 7 he played he platooned in one of them working his way back in, then only played 14% of the snaps in another before getting hurt again. Missed the 2nd half of the season and the playoff game.
