My dude, you just keep on getting it wrong. We never signed Zion Logue to the active roster this season. They were Practice Squad elevations each time. We've only signed Jordan Phillips and Phidarian Mathis to the active roster.

Truth is as good as Taron Johnson is he isn't the big nickel that McDermott had in Carolina. Also we don't have any true NTs imo. Two things that would help us with stopping the run significantly.

All it takes is one injury to Palmer, Davis, or Shavers and he's back in the lineup. But if the plan is to not play him as long as all 3 are healthy (and I imagine that is the plan), all stay healthy, and that's it from him - you trade him. You don't sit a guy for half of the season (plus the Playoffs) voluntarily and expect to make things work next year. Even if that were a thing you'd do, Palmer and Shavers are under contract next season. Likely Gabe will be brought back so long as he stays healthy. And we'll almost assuredly look to add a potential WR1 in the off-season. There's really no place for him at that point.

Logue was release by the bills after week 5 and then signed back to the practice squad. So he was on the active roster for 3 games, wasn't signed and released. Then signed back to the PS. So AFTER 3 games, if you don't sign to the active roster, you are eligible for waivers/released based on that.

Hopefully Shaq Thompson can help in the run game.
