  1. Past hour
  2. I know that was one season at LSU, and he had Joe Burrow at QB, Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase at WR. Clearly, designing a top passing scheme is not his strength. Like I mentioned a Greg Roman clone.
  3. For all the “This is the best defense in the league” guys, we’ve done the same thing against worse defenses.
  4. Yup, true complimentary football has the O winning some shoot outs when the D struggles and the D dominating a game when the O struggles. Twice this season Allen and the O have exploded to win shootout games against good teams. Not once has the D won a game by dominating an opponent from start to finish.
  5. If complementary means that both sides are league average then you’re correct. Every team has one side of the ball stronger than the other. When you have a generational MVP at QB it’s not difficult to figure out which side of the ball is supposed to carry the Bills. All this whining about the defense and a bad first half when the offense put up 12 whole points, was sacked 8 times, and had 3 turnovers. But it’s not on the offense no matter how well the defense played in the second half. The offense’s performance all game was due to the pressure they were under thanks to a bad defensive first half. I understand.
  6. And that’s why they need to change course. Josh will be fine and has the potential for a really good second half of his career. But he’s in a transition period and he’s becoming a different player. What worked before ain’t working anymore. The team needs a reset and it starts at the top. The “we can all be mediocre cuz Josh will bail us out” concept is no more. McDermott is the definition of mediocre. And that’s fine. He will land on his feet and build the Giants into a playoff contender who can’t win the big game and waste Dart’s career. But we have to move on.
  7. Amen to all of that. There isn't one all-pro on that defense. I dont think there's anybody on D who is even 2nd team AFC. Nobody near that even. The SB years had Bruce, Biscuit, etc. This D has got a bunch of meh guys. Its not in the ball park of a superbowl contending team. Everybody loves to talk offense, but this defense is sub mid. Just no studs at all on that side of the ball. No difference makers.
  8. You can't drive a Bugatti when you don't have an engine Our offense was puttering with stef diggs... So they went ball control Like if Josh threw 60 times today he would have left on a stretcher I don't know how anybody thinks they should open this up to a Bugatti Josh will literally be flatlined.. has to be in offense that can run the ball and work off that this season There's no just going out and throwing it 45 times The offensive system and the players on offense and defense are more of the issue... McDermott is trotting out no names at defense every week and over the hill slow veterans It's not his fault beane paid $80 million dollars to a defensive end who can't get a sack.. 45 million to a middle linebacker who is the size of a safety 15 years ago The cap and how it's managed is 100% the reason the Buffalo Bills are not on top
  9. This was too much for him. Too inexperienced. Too green. This was a playoff game. Playoff atmosphere. Playoff intensity.
  10. WHAT Always do our best to make the playoffs. Always. Gotta get reps and experience. Those 2 things are always a positive. Never a negative.
  11. If Wildcard is what it takes to be in the playoffs, that fine by me.
  12. Throw them open? How does a QB throw a WR open when the defense is running the route for them? You’re asking him to throw interceptions.
  13. Agreed, #1 seed dream is totally dead. Division is on life support, and the Pats need to lose this weekend to keep it alive.
  14. Joe Brady was actually the Bills QB coach before he became OC, and he was the passing game coordinator at LSU before he was OC for the Panthers. It's supposed to be his strength!
  15. I hope they don’t even get in the playoffs honestly. They have zero chance to win it all It’s way different. This team is severely flawed on both sides of the ball
  16. Just sucks. Allen’s time is running out. You can see it can you? Dude used to consistently break the sacks he couldn’t tonight. He won’t have the same MVP juice we are used to in a few years. Cam Newton 2.0, without the Super Bowl appearance of course.
  17. He threw Davis open near the end but he couldn't get his other foot down in bounds at the 2 yard line.
  18. Wrong We're supposed be 'complementary' Your perception is due to Allen's greatness and McDermott's awfulness
  19. How they'll use him?!?! He's a WR... THEY WON'T.
  20. Funny the D stats show that the Bills are a bottom 10 D..ST are terrible. O needs to be better particularly the OC.
  21. yeah it doesn’t matter. This thing is past its best by date. I hate to say it but part me is ok with missing the playoffs if it means they blow this thing up. Keep the QB and change everything else. Sometimes you have to take two steps back to move forward. Give ground to gain ground.
  22. The o-line got whooped tonight, but they were up against it and Brady did them no favors. I think they are fine in the short-to-mid term. The problem is the offensive scheme and the pathetic receiving corps. The D is a big issue with tons of holes to fill. Hairston and Bishop are promising playmakers. Walker might turn into something and Oliver is good when healthy, but we otherwise need replacements at safety, both ends (assuming Bosa walks), both linebacker slots, nickel corner and another starting caliber corner to push Benford.
  23. Houston’s team is carried by their defense. Buffalo’s team is (supposed to be) carried by their offense and generational QB. Different expectations for each team. But hey! Today I learned that if the defense has a bad half of football, the offense isn’t to blame for lack of scoring throughout the game because the defense just put too much pressure on them - no matter how well they play the second half.
  24. I don’t think we will need to win 12 games to make the playoffs. 11-6 will make it (that’s 4-2 the rest of the way). 10-7 might even make it (that’s 3-3). Not that it matters, since I don’t see how this team could make a SB run anyway.
  25. Sure, we just need to be a basement team and pick the top defensive player in the draft like the Texans did with Will Anderson and have him on a rookie contract (and also have our QB on a rookie contract). Those guys don't grow on trees, and there is a reason Anderson went 3rd overall.
  26. Bills fans watching Hallmark on Saturday Night.
