If Rush was buying our Bills instead of the Rams...

Rush would be the best thing that could ever happen to the Bills. I would love it if he took over ownership of the Bills. He wants to win and will do whatever it takes to win. However, he would never take ownership of a team in New York due to the taxes involved in the state and the pitiful political situation in this state. He just moved his operation out of the New York City to avoid paying the brutal taxes.

Post is an oasis of reason in a PC insane society. What is much more scary than Rush owning a team is the PC facists speaking out against Rush's basic rights. Free speech and the pursuit of happiness. Rush hasn't done anything to anyone on this board or anywhere else for that matter. He's a radio commentator. STOP. Thats all. He has been lucky/skilled/talented enough to make a good living at it. Good for him. At least he makes his own way in the world.

And if things are so ****ty out there, how come they have so much time and energy to devote to such a non issue as this? Obviously people don't have it tough enough if Rush's possible purchase of the Rams is a major problem to them.

Ohh, poor racist Rush... can't take the heat but can dish it out? Classic.

Well, the whole issue has been resolved, and he is out as an owner, and rightfully so. Some people take millions of dollars in bonuses that are unearned... they make their own way. Others gouge the public by overbilling... they make their own way. Others engage in reckless speculation and make millions.... they make their own way. Yeah true, but it doesn't make it RIGHT.

If Rush is a racist then so is Barack Obama. BTW, where's the outrage over Jay Z and his owning the Nets even though in his lyrics he uses the term cracker, N word, and in his "My President is BLACK!!!!" song includes the not so subtle line "no more white lies". Where was the calls of Kanye West being racist yanking that award from that little "white" country singer Taylor Swift. He would have NEVER done that to a black woman. Nice convenient and hypocritical little witch hunt you, Al, and Jesse have going though.

All very true. But what the !@#$ does any of that have to do with owning a football team is my question?

Ummmm, a majority of the team's roster is African American... I'm sure they are THRILLED if they get an owner who has made racist comments... COME ON- enough of this "ohh it is only football" nonsense.

We're talking about Rush here, not anyone else... changing the subject doesn't explain the indefensible.

Do you think all the Yankees players like Steinbrenner? Do you think all employees in the world like and respect their employers? Of course not. It's business, they are paid (very well, some say too well) to do a job. I can't imagine anyone's contract would include hanging out at Rush's house or appearing on his radio show. The chances they would even meet Rush are probably slim. So why would they give a ****.

It IS only football after all. What's nonsense is thinking it is somehow up on a pedestal and "above" having an owner like Limbaugh. Racist, narcissist or not.

When there's two different sets of rules for whites and blacks then hypocrisy becomes a big part of the subject. Unfortunately for you liberals, this argument can't be had in a vacuum.

...as he's also taken some chemistry classes at the local community college and can now make his own designer drugs. What CAN'T this man do?

aren't you glad you can endlessly use his drug problem against him?? very impressive.

There are extremists on both sides it seems, but what does this have to do with football in WNY? If you don't like how one side is doing things, you will have a chance to vote again. But when the Bills lease is up in a couple of years and we need someone to go to bat for us to keep the Bills happy enough to stay here, that person will probably be Chuck Schumer.

If he would spend money on quality players, head coaches, assistant coaches and front office personnel and actually try to create a winner instead of just saying he was, I would love it.

The day is fast approaching where the BILLS will need someone, ANYONE, to step forward and buy the team. Either from Ralph, while he still has a pulse, or from Ralph's Estate.

At the end of the day, we Fans, will have absolutely no say in the outcome, so who cares who the person or persons will be?

We would hope that: 1) the team will not move and, 2) that money will be spent on all of the above BUT we are powerless to see that either will happen.

Speaking from the experience of being a FAN from the beginning, it's frustrating, to say the least, but such is the lot of a BILLS Fan.

Here's another apology, from the left-wing looneys at MSNBC:

During the 3:00PM ET hour of live coverage on MSNBC Friday, co-host David Shuster admitted that racially charged quotes he and other hosts attributed to Rush Limbaugh had not been verified: “MSNBC attributed that quote to a football player who was opposed to Limbaugh’s NFL bid. However, we have been unable to verify that quote independently. So, just to clarify.” Shuster did not formally retract the quote or apologize.

On Monday, Shuster revealed the supposed source of the false quote: “Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Farrior says Limbaugh should be denied the privilege of owning an NFL franchise for comments like ‘slavery had its merits.’” Speaking with columnist Stephen A. Smith later that afternoon, Shuster’s co-host Tamron Hall wondered: “Should a person who says there are merits with slavery be able to have this privilege of owning a team?”

As result of the ensuing controversy raised by the false quotes reported by MSNBC, CNN, and other media outlets, Limbaugh was removed from an investment group that was considering purchasing the St. Louis Rams football team.

During Wednesday's Morning Joe program on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough warned of false Limbaugh quotes being touted by his own network: "And a lot of those comments were actually not true. The quotes that we heard the most of, the people we interviewed on our shows came with articles, waving articles with quotes – completely made up. And Mike Barnicle, the dangerous thing is, that the media just flew right into it."

On Tuesday, Media Research Center President and NewsBusters Publisher Brent Bozell called on CNN and MSNBC to “immediately and publicly source when Limbaugh uttered this phrase....They can prove their innocence by documenting this accusation. If they can’t, then they are 100% guilty of character assassination.” Shuster failed to provide any such documentation, instead waiting days to acknowledge his false reporting.
