Maye is damn good for a second year guy but looked a bit shaky in the 4th.  And Josh is the most athletic, complete QB in the game.  Mahomes and Burrow don’t offer equivalent run threats, Jackson isn't hear the passing threat.  The only historic comparison I can think of is Elway.

Maye is a good player and Pats are a good team.  Their not a patsy.  I don't see them doing a lot this year in playoffs but they will likely get better next year and after. 

I would take Maye over Tua.

I was throughly unimpressed by Mayes accuracy.  He was all over the place with off target passes.  His WRs bailed him out a few times, and those were his biggest completions.  Meanwhile Allen has guys dropping lob passes right into their hands.

John Elway never ran like Josh Alien. Elway threw a lot of INTs, too.

 

I'm sorry, there is no equivalent to our Josh Allen right now.

Josh was just beginning to figure it out in his second season and really he didn’t until year three.  Maye is impressive.

The Pats still have 2 years plus an option on Maye’s rookie deal. They still can and likely will win the division this season. They have plenty of cap space and draft capital to add more pieces. That team is not going away they are solid now and have the ability to get even better. But Maye isn’t Josh not yet anyways
