Maybe I’m overtired or to fresh from the loss because right now I feel like I do after a playoff loss ending the season. It’s not like any of this was not already in my face but last night really hit hard. 1. No chance of winning a Super Bowl with this defense 2. No chance of winning a Super Bowl with this WR group 3. No chance this team wins 3 tough games in a row on the road to get to Super Bowl 7-4 absolutely this team to get in playoffs but the nail is in the coffin for the ultimate goal. They keep losing to bad teams and they can miss the playoffs too Quote

At least theres less pressure for them and maybe they can finally do soemthing I know its the day after a loss where they looked terrible, but you only need to catch fire in January. Stay the course, make adjustments, and try and find something by then. 1 Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM (edited) Winning the division followed by an early exit does more harm to the organization long-term. It will fool ownership into thinking they are close. Everyone returns. More draft busts. Next season starts with a bunch of injuries on both sides of the ball. Rinse and repeat. Oh, and a first place schedule. If missing the postseason or flaming out as a road WC leads to changes, I will take it. Short-term pain for long-term gain. JoshAllin Posted yesterday at 03:59 PM Posted yesterday at 03:59 PM As long as houstons D and the chiefs with their strong defense and O both get knocked out of playoffs spots, the bills can be seeded anywhere and make a run realistically Quote

Would rather play one of the other division winners in Round 1, and then if we won as the 6 or 7 seed, we’d likely then play whomever the 1 seed is. I honestly kinda would hope to get New England round 1 and then if we win that game, go to Denver with the Broncos as the 1 seed in round 2. The Broncos have a great defense but their offense is terrible. They beat the Jets 13-11 and the Raiders 10-7. Those would be the 2 matchups if I had to pick, that I would prefer Quote
Success Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Not that I'm completely giving up on the season - but I kind of am. We're not passing the eye test in any way right now. Get in the playoffs, and any team can go on a run. But we'd need so much luck, and we're not a good road team regardless. This seems to be more the Pats year. I don't think they're winning a SB, but it's their year to win the division and probably have a deeper run. I'm not okay w/ that, but I'm okay w/ it in the sense that they'll get the tougher schedule next year. IF we have a good offseason, can dump some cumbersome contracts, get a real #1 WR and make needed changes, we'll be in better position next year to grab a top seed. Big ifs, I know. 1 Quote

Seeing as Josh does not yet possess a road win in the playoffs, this seems apropos. Why is the division out? Quote
Bills aPHILLYate Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I can understand frustration but to actively root against making the playoffs is wild. Yes some of the earlier season aspirations are almost out the window but I want them in the mix. 5 days ago Josh had a historic performance and he is capable of a game like that at any given moment. Every defense we face is not gonna be a #1 ranked defense. Winning in the NFL is difficult. There's 6 games left. They could easily get into a groove in that timeframe and walk into the playoffs with all the momentum on their side. 1 1 Quote

I agree that NE isn't winning a SB this year, their OL is average and half rookies. As for next year, they have 11 picks in the draft and the most cap space in the league (I think). I don't think they're going any where for a while. Our window is still open, but they're also in it with us now like the Ravens/Steelers rivalry for the past 10 years. Quote

As cynical as everyone is including myself You would be crazy to not take a lottery ticket with Allen in the playoffs this year with how the AFC looks Numerous teams have been in worse shape to go on a run I personally thought we would win 10 games and lose in the wildcard or maybe the divisional after watching the falcons game. But anything can happen. Edited 8 hours ago by Kelly to Allen 1 Quote
Freak-O Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I remember the early days of the season when the Patriots were a bad team. It was more or less consensus here. Now it’s an impossible thought that they go on a small bad streak and lose a couple of games. It’s a weird world, I guess. Quote

Even if the Pat lose, the Bills still need to win multiple games in a row to catch them. The way they have been playing I don't see it. The are 3-4 since their 4-0 start. Quote
SCBills Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago Burrow not coming back for the Patriots game. Pats probably take this game fairly easily and maybe it’s for the best so we can focus on just getting a WC and then rest guys Week 18. As far as KC & BAL go.. Charvarius Ward just got activated, so they’ll have Ward and Sauce out there against KC Sunday. Burrow’s likely return will either be off a surprise W over NE or, with a loss, as a last gasp, do or die game against Baltimore Thanksgiving Night. Either way, if he comes back, with Chase returning, that game has juice as a possible Baltimore L. At this point, I think im just rooting for the Bills to get in and KC/BAL to get left out. Then let the chips fall where they may. 1 Quote
