I wonder if McDermott is reluctant to fire Brady because he is (or has been) a top candidate for a head-coach position. He might think it would be be doubly disloyal to a) fire him; and b) deprive of him a chance to be head coach elsewhere.

 

If so, he needs to get over it. Any team that would hire such an incompetent deserves him.

Unfortunately it's looking like it won't happen.

 

When Dorsey was fired 2 years ago it was on November 14th, the Tuesday after a week 10 loss on MNF, and with a game coming up in 5 days.

 

Today is week 12, November 23rd, and the Bills are 7-4 with a game in 7 days.

 

I agree if it was gonna happen, it already would have happened.

 

Succession is the other question... if Brady was fired it would fall to either OL Coach Aaron Kromer, TE Coach Rob Boras, or QB Coach Ronald Curry. Kromer and Boras have both been NFL OCs.

I doubt it. First of all I don't think ultimately that he would value the stock of an assistant more than his own stock.

 

Secondly I think Brady has already fallen far down the list of prospective candidates.

 

I don't think this factors in... JMO.
