At this point though, I don’t give a flying *****. No one really says that about Big Ben and the Steelers and they basically only made Super Bowls by dodging NE. 2 Quote

A Chiefs loss really puts their season in jeopardy, and it would be nice to go into the AFC playoffs and not have to deal with them. However, the Colts are 8-2 and if the Bills want a shot at the #1 seed, they need them to lose another game just like we need the Pats to drop another game. I want the Chiefs out of playoff contention ASAP, and losing to the Colts is another nail in their playoff coffin. Better Jones than Mahomes every day and especially on Saturdays or Sundays in the post season. 1 Quote

mjt328 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago For the first time this season, I do think it's slightly possible they miss. Am I expecting it to happen? Absolutely not. There are still too many games left for the teams in front to blow it. Jacksonville is basically 1.5 games ahead with 7 left. Not exactly a lead I would trust them with. Los Angeles is about the same, and still has to play them again. The Chiefs makeup a lot of ground with a win there. Quote

They have played more games than anyone the last 3 years. They get everyone's best shot and Mahomes specifically is playing poorly. They aren't getting the breaks they used to either. I won't count them out, but they have zero margin for error going forward Quote

Start looking for the positives and bright spots (Max, Bishop, our O line, James Cook, our return game improving, Joe Brady changing it up, not sweating every field goal attempt this year...oh and some guy named Josh Allen) rather than dwelling on every little thing that isn't perfect and expecting doom. When you zoom out and look at the top teams, our problems don't look nearly as bad in comparison. This isn't the NBA, there aren't runaway favorites in this league. And even that rare team that does come along and dominate all year might have the whole thing ruined by Eli Manning. Get in the tournament and we have just as good as shot as anyone else. Quote
thenorthremembers Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago They will get in as the 6th seed and likely cause plenty of issues for other teams in the playoffs. Quote
Big Turk Posted 26 minutes ago Posted 26 minutes ago (edited) Jags would likely be the team they need to catch unless the Chargers tail off badly... Jags have Colts twice still and also the Broncos on their schedule. Other games are pretty cake but Titans play tough usually and they have them twice as well still. Division games are usually not cakewalks even if they are better than the other team. Have the Jets and Cards as well, so those should be Ws, but Jags are weird. Chargers still have it rough tho with Eagles, Chiefs, Broncos and Texans on their schedule. So they definitely have a punchers chance of catching both the Chargers and Jags. Not sure how 3 way tiebreaker would fall but Chiefs best bet would maybe to get into a 3 way tiebreaker with Chargers and Jags if they can't pass either of them. They already lose the tie breaker to the Jags since they lost to them earlier. Currently losing that to the Chargers as well since they lost to them week 2 but have a chance to even the record.
