There hasn’t been anything quick about it.  They haven’t won a playoff game since 2018.  This is year 6 of their post-Brady rebuild.  That’s an eternity in NFL years.

They won the SB vs the Rams in the 2018 season, went 12-4 and lost a 1st round playoff game to Tenn in 2019, went 8-9 in the Covid year with Cam Newton, went 10-7 and lost a 1st round playoff game to the Bills in 2021, went 8-9 in 2022, 4-13 in 2023, and 4-13 in 2024 Tossing the covid year aside, they've been mucking around at the bottom for 3 seasons (Belichick's final 2 + the Jerod Mayo year).

That's how we felt about Allen when he started.

Mainly the FA class and draft class they had - 16 new starters. Plus new competent coaches, Maye ascending, and an easy schedule.

So the planets basically aligned. Nice

At the 155 vote mark, a majority project 1 loss for the Bills on the remaining schedule.  So 13-4 for both.

Patriots win the division with a by virtue of having only one loss in the division.  Meaning last weeks loss to the Dolphins will be the difference between the #1 seed and the #5 side.  This because as I am so often told, the early season games don't really matter.

1 additional loss is a pretty rosy prediction for both teams.

I think we're more likely to end up w/ that, though.  I can see the Pats losing to us, Baltimore & Cincy, and possibly even to Miami and the Giants.

I don't see the Bills winning the division.  What's crazy is that the Cheatriots have become good again in a very short amount of time.  They tore it down and put it together again very quickly.

In one year. They just got a new coach and are going to flip their record from four and 13 to 13 and four. Hopefully this finally puts the Kabash on this mindnumbing McDermott era.

Honestly, if it takes the Patriots beating the Chiefs in the playoffs after we lose to them for us to be finally done with it I will be thankful at this point

7 10 8 4 4

Patriots win total over last 5 years

They've been pretty mediocre for a while and got a lot of higher picks

I wouldn't say that's extremely quick

Every year there's like a team that goes from last to first in their division or close

Pats have a defensive head coach winning with a top ranked D and our old WRs. Like what?

You are forgetting a 2nd year QB coming into his own and spreading the ball around.. and a very good OC..

Our division record kills us. Unless NE drops a game to Jets or Dolphins, we need to beat them AND finish ahead of them (i.e. we need to win out and have them lose 1 beyond 1 to us...just typing this out has me literally chuckling at how absurdly unlikely that is).

And when we play them they'll be coming off a bye. Awesome

What gives, mods?

Not trolling

The Patriots are the better team this year and it's really not close. They are not losing before they bye they will go into the next bills game at 11-2

"Really not close?"

The 1st game was, even though the refs favored the Pats all game and the Bills had 3 turnovers.  Even that last non-call against Shakir would have swung the game the Bills way.

The Pats are skating on the lightest schedule a team has had for 50+ years.  They have been squeaking by the past couple of weeks - couldn't believe that the Bucs didn't run on that last 3rd & 3 - and they will absolutely be exposed. Not as a bad team, because they're not that - but insanely overhyped and overrated.

And for sure, you're trolling. Look at your responses on this thread.

My prediction is we finish 11-6 and patriots finish 13-4. They probably only lose to Baltimore and us the second time but we’ll botch a couple more games along the way because of our amazing coaching staff. Just remember before the season we were the odds on favorites to get the 1 seed with the easiest schedule…

Always the refs

And we aren't talking about that point of the season anymore, and thru Week 11 they are better and it's not close.

Prior to the game earlier buffalo was likely the better team, but that has come and gone.

Coaching, defense and special teams favors New England , and I'd say the offense likely favors New England as well, but that's close

Having moved to bills territory some 20+ years ago the realist bills fans that I work with don't share your thoughts

I don't care that they don't share my thoughts.  I'm not buying into the Pats big resurgence while they're running through the easiest schedule any team has seen in a half century.

Is that okay & all? Do you just come here looking for Bills fans to praise your team, and talk in glowing terms about how awesome it is that they're in 1st place?

How much you win by is irrelevant all that matters is ending the game with more points then the opponent.

And finding ways to win games is the mark of a good team.

It's very hard to win in the NFL, doesn't matter how good or bad the opponent is it takes a lot to win any game.

Bad teams don't get to 8-2 regardless of who they play.

Let's see the factual proof that "this is the easiest schedule any team has played in the last 50 years"

I saw it the other day - on a Pats board.

If it's not for any reason, it's pretty close.  The only reason they're in 1st is the schedule. Even the Bucs were down some of their best players (who are of course back at practice for this week's Bills game).

I don't care about proving it. It's an easy schedule.  Everyone knows that.  The Pats have improved but they're not the team being hyped right now.

The Bills schedule is not that much harder this year.

For sure. But it's 2 entirely different situations, imo.

Would you say that the Pats are a better team right now?  I think we gave that game away.
