agreed, except about the outstanding O-line.   It's not that right now.

It’s the same o-line personnel as last year, but I agree, they’ve had some bad games, especially yesterday and Atlanta. I don’t understand it.  It’s still a very good o-line, though.  I will add that Josh has abandoned clean pockets and run into quite a few sacks this year.

It was inferred, not hyperbolic.

I didn't understand your logic that had you claiming he's not doing a great job" as an argument for both him becoming a HC next year.

Citing bettors as the basis for your conclusions I'll let stand...

The Giants thought Daboll was doing a great job.   Once he parted ways with Josh, well....we all saw what happened.

It was never inferred that his “ prospects were better than ever.” It was hyperbole. You know that. We see it a lot here. You just got called on it. That was never said or inferred. I’m not weighing in if I think he “should” get a HC job. My statement was that he “will” get one.

The statement was definitive because he will be a HC regardless of the job I think he’s doing. I don’t have a say. My opinion is that he hasn’t been very good this year (at all). He will be a HC next year. Both of those are true.

I’m citing oddsmakers who build big buildings by winning. If they didn’t have information or believe he was a candidate at that level they’d try to attract action. By placing him as the betting favorite for LSU and the 2nd choice for the Titans, they’re trying to steer bettors away from him limiting their exposure. Believe it or not, they hear things and know things.

Joe Brady stinks. I get that he’s got next to nothing to work with, but the personnel usage is absolutely baffling. How is Cook off the field in high pressure situations? Why are our receivers running routes next to each other? Where are the quick hitters?

Out of the four OCs we’ve hired, three have been atrocious - Dennison, Dorsey and Brady. Ridiculous.

Didn't we also have Greg Roman?

They build big buildings off the money lost by foolish bettors.  You can get a line on anything....simply because someone is willing to risk money over it, no matter how unlikely a win.  There's a line on the Jets, Raiders, Browns, Giants...etc, winning the SB.  The concept is obviously absurd, but books put it out there to take sucker money.

If the Bills win or make the SB, I agree that Brady is gone.  If they keep limping along Offensively, it would be a difficult sell---even to a team as poorly run as the Titians. Can we agree on that?

A very good line doesn't have bad games against bad run Defenses.

Do you think, if the oddsmakers believed he WOULDN’T get a job, they’d have his odds higher or lower?

I think it’s already pretty much set that he’s going to be a HC regardless of what happens the rest of the year. There will be a dozen or so jobs between the power 4 and the NFL. With the exception of Lane Kiffin, Brady is probably the likeliest person to nab one of those jobs. If Kiffin takes one, that opens another job. It’s just math.

No, we fired him in 2016 IIRC. That weird game where we put up 30+ and lost, and they fired Roman instead of Rob Ryan

I disagree.  Ask Bobby Slowik how quickly the “hot” offensive coordinator can fall from grace. Brady’s only chance to be a HC next year is in the NCAA.

Everything that could help us the most, can be done without the constraints of a salary cap.  Your point is valid, and makes a potential hire scary, but it need to be done.

Terry needs to hire a board of consultants to help interview/pick the right guys, that costs $$$.... but no salary cap on that.

I think McD couldve done ok here IFFFF we went balls out and made sure we got top coordinators.  Should've been super obvious by the end of Dorsey's tenure!! We have a Ferrari, we cant let the soberest town drunk drive the car.... def cant bank on a Rookie Coordinator with a Championship Window that open..... we learned nothing there

Looking back in hindsight, I think McD likely held Frazier back more than we realize... Im not going to cry over it, he wasn't elite, might not have even been "good", but damn Babich was a crappy decision too.

Anybody have a pulse for who the hot named coordinators are?  We cant really afford to be this picky (probably).... but we cant go with the full on youth movement again, but I do not want some dinosaurs in here.  I really dont love the idea of picking from the NFL's leftovers, too small of a pool.  Are there names from college ranks we can kick the tires on?
