The JK Dobbins signing is a similar player. So it can’t be the style he is as a player?

I can understand Denver moving on. He was a 2nd round pick that never really moved the needle for them and didn't seem like he was going to come back from his injury.  They would have had to give him a new contract and decided to look elsewhere.  Sort of like the Bills moving on from Zach Moss.  He had some success after he left but nothing Earth shattering.  Even this year, he's been decent for Dallas but I'd argue Rico Dowdle has been the better player that Dallas let walk.

That makes sense, I haven’t watched a lot of their games since Manning retired so it’s really just the bigger names and not what they are actually doing or expected of. I do remember him for the Tar Heels and he was solid. 
 

That Dowdle point is on it. Surprised they let Dowdle and Pollard walk in back to back years. Dowdle certainly impressed and is continuing to do so for Carolina since he got the chance. 
 

Sometimes it’s a change of scenery and opportunity I guess.
