Injuries happen in the NFL... But season ending injuries still are not that common 

 

Just because we had some guys go down early doesn't mean everybody on our D line is going down.. Chris Jones could go down tomorrow, so could Myles Garrett 

 

We still are 4 deep at defensive tackle and good ends... Even AJ is playing well

 

Walker literally tossed Creed Humphrey on Sunday like he's never been... Even Jordan Phillips made plays in the playoffs last year against the Chiefs 

 

We've invested so much in the line over the last 4 or 5 years it's going to be the best part of our defense in January barring really unfortunate circumstances

 

This team is better than last year and we were three points away from the Super bowl

Expecting rookies to make big impacts for a playoff run are big asks and are big question marks. Speaking of rookies, Walker is the only guy on the DL that appears to be able to make that immediate impact.  If the D-line continues to have the same problems it's had seemingly had year after year in the postseason, someone needs to answer for that.

It is a limited resource league.  You can’t have stars at every position, and every contender is relying on rookies and other unproven players to some extent.  There’s no reason guys like Jackson, Sanders and Solomon can’t step up and do what’s necessary…the Bills have invested a lot in their D-line and it’s time to realize some return on that investment.

No WR that moved is better than what we have. Our offense is annually elite and it’s not our problem. The stopping teams is the issue. The last two weeks we have been much better on defense. We are slowly but surely moving in the good players and phasing out the dead weight. We are a tweak or two from being really good on defense. The Loss of 55 is a big one but I got a feeling we peel off a LB and move them to that role. There are good things happening here. We are going to be fine

Walker also got put on a dolly a couple times at key moments.

And we are not anywhere near 4 deep at DT.

In fact, the only three guys we have healthy right now are Jordan Phillips, Larry Ogunjobi and an inconsistent rookie(). That's it.

And they are playing in front of an injured, ineffective LB corps(e).

I don't care about WR, but this is a real problem that could hurt this team badly.

Jackson can barely get a gameday jersey, Sanders hasn't showed me much when he's played, and Solomon is a situational pass rusher who hasn't shown much either.

 

I don't think any of them are difference makers this season.  The D-line has been one of the biggest achilles heels of this team for years now and if injuries have major impacts to it, I would think the top priority would be to fill some holes.

I get it, and I’m not worried about the current state, I’m worried about getting to the finish line with a defense full of PS players that leads to another early exit. I don’t even care that they didn’t deal for a WR, I just really hoped for help on the Defense.

You can have stars, you just gotta give up something to get them. Next offseason, after we get knocked out of playoffs again, Beane will sign someone during the and talk about how they made calls to get him at trade deadline but the price to much. Just like Emanuel Sanders and Von Miller. Von was a ***** steal for the Rams at trade deadline but to expensive for Beane.

Hopefully a few quality veteran players on bad teams request to be released at some point later in the season.

 

I could see Von coming back here as a UFA in December to rotate with our other DE’s.

 

Still quite annoyed that we did nothing.

When we have DaQuan Jones, ogunjobi , walker and Phillips that is not a bad four piece at defensive tackle 

 

In fact that's much better than what the Chiefs have 

 

Again there's no all pros in there but if they are healthy that is a beefy 4 pack that has different skills too 

 

Walker isn't perfect, coming off the bench in a rotation.. with the ability to toss Creed Humphrey is certainly not a small feat 

 

Again nothing says they're all going to be hurt.. we going to the playoffs with those four guys potentially getting Ed Oliver back that is a good defensive tackle room

 

The linebackers worry me a lot more than the defensive line... Our defensive line had five players over a 73 grade against the Chiefs 

 

Might be banged up but they are playing at a good level.. Jordan Phillips was one of the few defensive players who made plays against the Chiefs in the playoffs last year 

 

I'll take him as the number 4... He's always been a good football player here

 

The defensive line as a unit has been our best unit all year.. definitely not the linebackers or the secondary

I'm sorry, but that is an awful rotation at arguably the most important spot on the chess board, and suggesting that Oliver is going to return from a serious injury and immediately be effective is probably nothing more than whistling past the graveyard.

This team hopefully has another dozen games to play and I don't think there's any way they can make enough plays to win enough of them with that massive, glaring problem right smack dab in the middle of the LOS.

Beane absolutely needed to find at least one and probably two more reliable bodies on the DL this week and he walked away with nothing.

For a guy that I've appreciated having a huge and appropriate amount of respect for the importance of the DL, that was very disappointing.

I don't put that much relevancy in pro football focus but they said we had top 6 defensive line going into the season 

 

We lost Oliver but you don't go from sixth to 26th.. we have a good front 4 still... We're like 8th in the NFL in sacks and it's not because coverage sacks typically 

 

We still have the ability to have a disruptive front 4..  bosa and gregg are going to decide what happens to this team in January on defense

 

The defensive tackles are good enough... And they're still room to grow with gelling together.. for sure I would have liked to add one body but I don't think this means we can't win the Super bowl because we didn't

And while I like Rousseau and Bosa, there really isn't much behind them either with Hoecht gone.

The Bills have clearly wanted that unit to be the #2 strength of their team for years and needed to do work today to maintain that effort.

Instead, they chose to do nothing about what has always been their top priority.

I do BILLIEVE Simon... This team is better than last year in my eyes and we lost by three in the AFC championship

I agree and with both Palmer & Davis likely to be in the mix soon only a guy like Waddle would have moved the WR bar.
