If the Saints won’t move Olave, there’s obviously not much we can do about that, but I’d offer a 1 + Samuel and see if that gets the conversation going.

They have the cap to absorb his contract and that’s not a short term move.. it’s essentially the Diggs trade of a few years ago but in-season.

We lose a RD1 pick, and if they take back Samuel, I’d be willing to offer more if necessary, but we lock down 4 WR’s long term, to go with all 3 RB’s on multi-year deals, JA, 3 TE’s and 3/5ths of our starting OL plus development/depth guys like Anderson, Grable and SVPG.

Still in a position to grab OL on Day 2 and that Offense is stacked for multiple years.

LOL how do i use the block function on this site

.... being silly, but seriously... HOW? HOW DO I FIND THAT BUTTON?

Hover over the name and hit the ignore button?  Or were you just making a joke?  I'm here to help.

I'll state it in a different way - if we're not changing coach/GM any time soon, why keep the same big money QB pulling down the rest of your roster?  Josh's style of play does not match the coach/GM vision for their team.  If it did, they would have invested in their offense first and often.  Get a cheap game manager, reset the timeline, and try again.  The band-aid, sad sack mash unit approach ain't gonna work.

I'm starting to really like Ty Simpson's game at Alabama.  I think he'll be the next Brady and I could be talked into a trade for a couple of 1st round picks from a bottom feeder org.  Even the Jets & Dolphins would be a consideration.  Reset the 4-5 year window with a true pocket passer that won't consistently pass up open receivers in crunch time (see the last offensive plays from 2024 (Shakir) and 2023 (Diggs)).

For all of Josh's strengths, he gets tunnel vision at the wrong times.

Say what???

Beane's crash out aging like milk... as it was obvious it would.

If he owns it and makes a move, especially if it’s a long term move at WR.. I can let go of the fact he did that.

Get Olave and all is forgiven.

Beane right now as the trade deadline nears.

As disappointed as I am with Beane's handling of the position in recent years, I do realize that there may not be many serious options that he can explore right now. The issue is supply and demand: there are many more WR-needy teams right than there are viable WR options in the market-place.

Olave seems to be the most logical candidate -- provided that the Saints are even willing to trade him -- but he is likely being pursued by many other teams, which drives up the price. Personally, I would be on board with giving up a 1st round pick (and maybe more) to acquire him.

Regardless, I hope the front office is leaving no stone unturned.

this is encouraging!  I’ll guess if we make a move it’s Meyers

Based on the comments from Schultz it almost seems like there’s a chance both Saints WR’s could be packaged together.

Would be pretty exciting if we acquired Olave + Shaheed.   1st, 4th, Samuel and throw in Moore

Meyers would be a ha lf assd effort at this point. And not what the team needs perhaps. No knock on him and in a different scenario I would be all for it

Waddles or Olave even Shaheed. Stop messing about.

The way they're burning through Josh Allen's prime with boneheaded and arrogant management of the WR room is the kind of thing tjhat folks will look back on in despair if they don't course correct in a major way.
