He must have punched a baby or spit on a coach for how many times he should have been on the field for a huge play but wasn't. It’s not even just that he’s not in. It’s that they completely give up play action. He hits 6-8 yard chunk runs which sets up play action perfectly, and then we pull him out and go into an obvious passing formation and, you guessed it, pass. Everybody in the stadium knew what we were going to do. Cook in; run. Cook out; pass. We may as well have had a hotline to the other sideline telling them what we were going to do. So frustrating. 1 1 Quote
TurfToeJam Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Cook's strength coming out of college was his pass catching ability. If true, Bills aren't taking advantage of this 1 1 Quote

Ty Johnson has got to have better field awareness there. Taking off way beyond the sticks was a mistake. If he'd been where he was supposed to be, that ball probably hits him in the chest. 1 Quote

Especially with them getting quick pressure on Josh all game. Quote

They've made some hay downfield doing that previously and I think he just saw open space and headed for it before he realized the down and distance. He's making some mental mistakes this year that we weren't really seeing from him before. 1 Quote

Tensions boil over I wouldn't be surprised. Last nights game could be a tipping point. Maybe? Quote

Had Josh just thrown that ball overhand , it would have been caught...way too many of these BS shot put passes this year already Quote

With a few exceptions the off-script plays that produced some highlight reel results last season are not working this year. I guess defenses have learned to stick with the receivers rather than rally to chase down Allen. I think those yards and points are a big part of what's missing from the offense so far.
