Was Drake Maye THAT good yesterday?

Allen would absolutely torch the Bills defense.

I would agree but the Bills were missing a lot on defense.  Heck the Ravens are getting crushed and they blame missing keys defensive players.  I think Strong will end up being the biggest loss, he's a baller.  But half a game of Milano was a tease of how good he is but always injured.

That was actually only game 16 of Mayes career. If you delve inside the numbers they are very good. 

 

The fact that Maye has only really played in 16 games also means that there isn't a lot of film on him to break down his tendencies. All its going to take is for a DC to figure out what makes Maye tick and stop it.

Absolutely. Red zone turnovers are the reason for losing a 3 point game 99.9% of the time. Even if it doesn’t result in points for the other team, it still takes them away from the Bills. No turnover = no loss. PROTECT THE BALL

Average is pretty good for a second year qb with a new coach, a new system and limited weapons. The interesting question is how much better is Maye than Ryan Tannehill and will Vrabel be able to capitalize on that degree of improvement.

To answer OP’s question. Drake Maye is better than any QB they’ve put on the field post-Brady. His ceiling is Justin Herbert, but he’s got a pretty high floor. Personally, I would be super excited as a Pats fan. Beating (one of them) the SB favorites on the road was a huge milestone. 
 

The Patriots are going to have a winning record this year for the first time in forever. Honestly, I don’t think it’s as bad as people think. A weak AFCE has not been the blessing most Bills fans thought. It’s good to have a rival to keep the Bills as an organization sharp. Now that it’s not such a cake walk into the playoffs, the younger players will have earlier exposure to adversity.
 

I miss the big rivalries and I feel like it’s been lacking in the AFCE for a very long time. Brady never had much of a rivalry with anyone other than the Jets for a couple years. Unless anyone else has a different opinion, the last great AFCE matchup was Marino/Kelly, correct ?  The Bills/Dolphins in the late 90s - early 2000s was a fun matchup as well because both teams were so evenly matched.

It seems like some analysts and others want him to be that guy more than he actually is that guy.  But we have a proud history of making a lot of QB's look better than they are.

 

 

Well I give it more to Diggs he was his old self again and who ever they had on him he made them pay . Diggs is for real ...

Rolling to right.  Also, Bills D is the one of the easiest he’ll face.  Hopefully we get better by December.
