BillsFanNC Posted Monday at 05:18 PM Author Posted Monday at 05:18 PM They have the blessing of Neil's family. Also some interesting details about how this all came together when they did the reveal during this secret event at the RnR HOF. They plan to add a keyboard player as well so Geddy has less to do. 1 Quote

She definitely has the chops to be the drummer for Rush. Question is, does she put her spin on the drum parts, or try and mimic Neal? I’d say, gotta be a bit of both. Neal’s drum parts are integral to the music and don’t allow for much variance, but she has to be able to put some of her own into the music. 1 Quote

In the video at the RRHOF, Geddy talked about this. He was saying that when Anika was playing and getting more involved with Rush, that Geddy and Alex had to describe the feel they had when Neil played with them, and tried to convey that to Anika and to have her try and reproduce that same feel, not only for Geddy and Alex, but to the audience so they would hear the songs live on this tour as they remember them. For Rush to get to this point, I would say Anika did her job wonderfully. 1 1 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted yesterday at 02:08 PM Posted yesterday at 02:08 PM Too bad Bubbles is a guitar player, and not a drummer. Quote

Sweats Posted yesterday at 05:49 PM Posted yesterday at 05:49 PM It was Sir Paul McCartney that told Alex and Geddy that they should get back out there and tour, even going so far to say that Paul would manage the band from here on out........he also agreed to be the dietary manager for Rush, which they agreed to, however, Paul is a vegetarian, while Alex and Geddy are not. I believe that was at the London Taylor Hawkins tribute, and it was certainly tongue in cheek. Quote

Its pretty much a running joke with them at this point. Case in point, their new drummer is a girl and I think Geddy Lee, himself said "Finally, theres going to be a woman at a Rush show." Quote
