Bills/Dolphins in Miami question

Headed down for this game. 

 

Q1:  is there a particular stadium section or area to get tickets to be around mostly Bills fans?   

 

Q2: Also, what hotels are best for being with the Bills folks?  also that my wife won't kill me for booking...

The whole stadium will be mostly Bills fans.

My wife and I used to stay in South Beach.   That’s where we stay when we aren’t at Bills games.  Restaurants, beaches and nightlife.  Very nice, indeed.   Pricey.

 

We learned that Lauderdale is where the invading hoard encamps!   You can go high to medium in pricing.   You’ll find little cheap.   Your hotel will be red, white and blue.   We stay at a Marriott and the hotel looks forward to Bills fans every year.   And, of course, the local watering hole “Bills” restaurants.

A friend of the late Neil Peart of Rush told me that Neil used to stay there every time Rush played Miami. I can see why. Very nice hotel.

1. Sit west side/ Dolphins side. Shade side.  Away side is directly in the sun.

 

2.  I stayed almost dead east on the ocean.  Easy in and out.  Didnt go but Ft Lauderdale there is a pretty big bills party night before.

I only went down to Miami once for a game and that was the "heat" game of 2022. I went with my wife and a few friends that do a lot of traveling to resort type locations and it was a combo vacation week and hitting up a Bills game. We stayed at the Fontainebleau on Miami Beach, which it technically at Mid-Beach and a few minute Uber ride to South Beach (and a lot of good restaurants).

 

It depends on what you are looking for, but that was definitely more of a vacation style trip to a nice hotel and beach that ended up being fairly expensive. Not really the Bills backer's party/tailgate type of experience. I hear Ft. Lauderdale is better for that if that is what you are looking for. 

 

As far as the stadium, there were Bills fans spread throughout. We sat a bit higher up, which at least had full shade from the heat, just not that close to the action.

Hotel Maren and Bahia Mar are a couple hotels on Fort Lauderdale beach that should be swamped with Bills fans.  Nearby bars like Elbo Room and Rockbar will also be packed.

I was in Miami last November. Please be aware that nearly every restaurant and bar adds an 18-20% gratuity to every bill regardless of size of party. A couple servers took steps to hide that fact. Lotta tourists accidentally double tipping in that city.

I was there last year and the tailgating was majority Bills fans. Great time.
