Surprised they waited this long before deciding on surgery. Hoping for a full recovery! Did we ever find out how he got hurt?

Speaking of injuries, any news on Dorian Strong? Is his career over or do we expect him back next year?

I bet we don't hear anything definitive until spring.

Kind of a pet peeve, but it's pretty embarrassing that someone who writes for a living wrote that a player "got" surgery.  You have surgery.

I mean, the guy is a clinician first, I wouldn't really call him someone who writes for a living. Unless I'm mistaken and he's no longer a clinician?

I also thought Bass had osteitis pubis. Nasty thing to have, but surgery is pretty unusual unless it's a really bad case.

1) Bass was on fire when they extended him.

2) Aubrey was cheap because the Cowboys signed him from the XFL.

Prater has been solid, especially when you consider we got him mid-season off the couch. I also feel a vet like him isn't going to get nerved out by an important kick. He has missed 3 XPs and two FGs (one from beyond 50.) Only the Texans XP miss factored into a loss.

Prater is making 89.5 percent of his FG attempts this year, which is better than any season of Bass's: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BassTy00.htm

As for XPs, Prater is at 91.9 percent this year (low for him, but a couple of doinked uprights), while Bass was at 92.2 percent last year. Indistinguishable on that front, really, and if Prater makes his next two XPs, he'll be better than Bass was last year.

That stinks on Bass … I‘ll admit I’m a little worried about Prater holding up the rest of the year just based on his age and the winter / bad weather conditions approaching.

On the Bills final kickoff I was hoping he’d boot it through the end zone to prevent any return but when he didn’t do that it definitely crossed my mind that maybe he doesn’t have the same distance he had earlier this year.

Kickers don’t matter until they do and with other teams having guys hitting 50+/60+ yard attempts with ease it would suck for that to be the difference maker in an important Bills loss down the road.
