Exactly how long would you like the non-violent J6 rioters locked up for?

And do you demand those who have done similar to state & local buildings around the country also be locked up for indiscriminate amounts of time?

Since you’re all about consistency, of course.

Roundy has answered this - J6ers are the same as Civil War Confederates.  In his mind, the south and all it's citizens should have been mass executed.  That's the modern liberal version of reconstruction.

They were there to overthrow the 2020 election. They deserved whatever happened to them.

Mmm. Just the CSA elected officials, military officers, and those who rejected the Union.

Fair enough, not the lowly citizens.

How do you feel about the way the US handled Japan's Hirohito?  The US executed Japanese generals but kept the royal family intact.  With the knowledge that the emperor was fully pulling the strings.  Similar reason to both - they needed buy in from the citizens that the new rule of law would work.  The royal family in Japan were the equivalent to the military leaders for the confederates.

This is actually an interesting topic you bring up. I believe Hirohito was more or less bound to Japan's constitution and had to accept decisions the government made. I also am pretty sure that Pearl Harbor was Tojo's idea and Hirohito did not support it.

I have no problem with people criticizing his views (I disagreed with him on almost everything), even though it borders on unseemly in light of his recent assassination, but there is no place for expressing joy over the killing of another human being because you disagree politically, or even worse, gleefully expressing your hope that other political enemies are targeted next. These people are really ghoulish and pathetic, sad human beings who have clearly lost their way.

That is the sanitized WWII version of events.  I think it was Tojo that messed up his rehearsed tribunal testimony, and they kicked him out for a day to regroup and strike that from the record.  The slip up was the wartime decision making always ended with the emperor.  I’d have to dig to find where I read that.

If you’re trying to tell me Covid mandate opinions = Cheering a public execution, I’m not really sure how to respond to you.

Did jaur say that? Did jaur want COVID mandates?

I'll be honest, jaurs a smart dude and I'll take the time to listen to him on anything but hair tips.

They let all the January 6ers out of jail, would you want to work with those guys?

You have a very consistent ideology. I like that.

I've got zero use for anything it opines on after that.

I'd actually be really curious if you can recommend me some more reading. I know there's a recent movement to put more blame on Hirohito but I'd be at a loss where to start reading.

Would you rather we just put everyone in the ground?

I think you may want to edit and clarify what you mean here.

I do find it disturbing.  I have no sympathy for anyone losing their job for celebrating a murder.  Make no mistake, this is absolutely cancel culture.

Seems fitting that Jauron is your avatar. The epitome of clueless

Perhaps a clarification...The question is simple, does he want civil war instead of cancel culture?  The we being our country.  If there is no accountability in this instance we are very likely to devolve into a kinetic civil war in which case, both sides, aka we the people, will bury people...loved ones.  There are very angry mobs formed on both sides just waiting for a spark and this murder was a spark.

Thanks for the call out, after rereading I can see why you recommended a clarification.

What is there to clarify? Yikes.

You condemned cancel culture.  There has to be accountability.  We are on the verge of civil war, closer than at anytime in our lives.  We'll be burying brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers.  Is that preferable to cancel culture?
