To be fair, Bean does pretty good with the late round picks, finding quite a few diamonds in the rough. It’s the early round premium picks he normally wastes.

My bad. I meant late in the first round picks which is what he is holding onto

I think everyone gets that. But the point is, once you dont trade him in March, you need to get him signed immediately. It should have been a very easy deal to do, instead Jones had to try to flex and posture and delay because... reasons. He couldve had him signed before Garrett, he couldve had him signed before Watt. This is all on Jerry and a huge misplay at every step.

Well, they did drive up his price for an NFC contender and get two first rounders out of it...

I think the cowboys are the winners here. GB has a solid team, but I never thought they were a parsons away from serious contention anyways.

That's a lot of money for parsons.

Oh I’m headed immediately to the nearest cowboys message board.

Edit: and in 35 seconds found enough to sum up their feelings: “May the Jones family suffer for this.”

Great comments all around on the /nfl subreddit post...

Ah, yes. We’re never going to snag a top tier anything when we are always picking around 30.

No team would make that trade without an extension in hand, so if I had to guess, the trade market was limited to teams that could and would make him the highest-paid non-QB. That list included a bunch of scrub teams like NE with GB being the only contending team. Parsons did hold some cards and probably made the choice.

And look how fast GB was able to get the deal done while including his agent...

You just make him the highest-paid non-QB in the league. It wasn't rocket surgery.

If they don't win a Superbowl within 4 years, I'll wholeheartedly agree.

Personally, I don't think any of these pass rushers are worth their contracts.

What would you have given for him in January?

If Beane was man enough to do this, McDermott would have limited Parsons’ snaps so he could “learn the defense.”

Oh there you are.  Is McD a loser too?

Yep. Jerry couldve started the process March 12th and had him signed March 15th. But here we are.

It would nice to know if the Bills made an offer and what that was

I’m guessing the $ Beane wouldn’t go over 35-40 M range

Imo, If we made an offer, we would’ve been in for at least 41M because that’s where the contract would’ve started due to Watts contract.

Love the deal and would’ve done the same with Oliver, but don’t love the money.

So you wouldn’t do the deal…. No?  That was the money.

Very much like the Eichel trade - a superstar for a good player and some lotto tickets.

This is a terrible trade by Jerry Jones that will be rationalized on this forum by those who thinks Parsons sucks because he had a bad game against the Bills one time.

Only person who loves his contract more than Parsons is Aiden Hutchinson

By next year DEs will be making more than Josh Allen

Why should I have to rationalize it as a Bills fan? It has nothing to do with us.

We can't stop the run now.

We play with the lead a lot.

Two number 1s for the second best pass rusher in the league.

I make that deal in a heart beat. Two generational players in Allen and Parsons -  one on offense and one on defense.

Beane refuses to go all in, instead hoarding late round draft picks so he can waste them next year

F!!!!!!

On the other side, bad trade for Dallas.

Thanks-  🍿

Lol..  isn't it ironic to see this thread just above the Jordan Poyer thread. One team getting a generational pass rusher and another gifting $400K to a washed up safety.

Thanks again!!  🍿 🍿
