Generic_Bills_Fan Posted September 19 Posted September 19 As far as talent meeting scheme goes I think probably hawes so far? It’s not the prettiest thing but it is a big role haha if Hairston plays pretty well this class could be great Quote
BearNorth Posted September 19 Posted September 19 This thread will age well as Josh and Hawes continue their Vulcan mind meld. Hawes is Prototypical size for a TE, loves to block, is very smart, and I suspect teams are already having to game plan for our three TE set. Pick your poison; and oh by the way Cook is in the kitchen. Quote
Maynard Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Definitely Walker. Thought he was the best pick me made in the 2025 draft. Was just a matter of whether the back issues were resolved or not. 1 Quote

If we can keep him healthy, he might become a game wrecker like we haven’t had on the interior. He legitimately has that ability. His floor is already solid DT play with splash plays here and there. I personally like the idea of drafting players who fall due to injury concerns. Drone Walker is a great example - he’s a first round talent. Two CBs from ND and Michigan went in round two and I believe both were considered top 5-10-15 pick players. Could we have landed a well talented starting CB in round 2 instead of 1? also Mike green - would have loved him 1 Quote

The Jokeman Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Is it a bad thing I forgot we had Max Hairston? 😕 1 Quote
UKBillFan Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Hawes and Walker. It feels like they've both been on the roster for years. Quote

Once again in our Super Bowl window. When we universally think the defense is the problem in big games - we load up on D 1) Hairston- hurt. Of course. Jury out 2) tj sanders. VERY underwhelmed. Does he even have a tackle for loss? Or A tackle? He’s flirting with being inactive I bet once suspension guys come back 3) Landon Jackson. Very alarming he can’t even dress. He looked like a practice squad or fringe roster player to me during preseason against 3s 4) Walker. Hit so far 5) hawes. Really big hit Hancock hurt and isn’t dressing yet (I really need to see him displace Rapp at the end of the year. I’m praying) strong - I’ll say a hit - held his own as a backup filling in for injured starter don’t care about the rest. If our 2nd and 3rd round picks (didn’t we move up for the 2? ) can’t even dress! That’s a problem Sanders was double teamed on like 75% of his snaps vs Miami and still did his job. 1 Quote
