Wasted talent finally coming to the realization what an opportunity it is to play and earn a living playing football?

I'm not sure his post is entirely accurate.  For example, was he really 14th string?  We would have needed 42 wideouts in camp to man 14 strings.  

 

If he exaggerated on that point, maybe he did on some others too?

 

Though it was still good to read the positive comments and sense the growth in maturity.

I feel I read some good reports early on him. But probably fluff

 

I have some memory of being surprised when McDermott said some genuinely complimentary things about him during camp without being prodded to do so.

That's not something you see every day out of Coach and it gave me some hope that maybe he's learned some humility and an associated work ethic.

If his head is still in the right place, somebody is going to give him a shot; I hope it's us.

Injuries most definitely aren't why he went from being dealt for a high second round pick in 2022 to being a street free agent reaching for a life-line in the span of about 15 months.   Very little injury in his NFL history really.

 

He was a head-case in 2022 but should have lost any benefit of the doubt when he ghosted the Bears in-season in 2023.    That was crazy.    Typically only see something like that when a player is about to appear in a string of arrest/lawsuit stories.   

 

The Dolphins gave him another shot and he just went thru the motions.   Only months later the Bills pick him up and fans expect him to be someone entirely different.

BINGO. If a young man can get his head on straight  in the right system.  yes Yes YES  let him try and compete. He knows that is all that he can ask for s another chance.

So you discount and  didn't appreciate  his first year in the NFL? no hints  of potential et all going forward after that eh.
