I'm not sure his post is entirely accurate.  For example, was he really 14th string?  We would have needed 42 wideouts in camp to man 14 strings.

If he exaggerated on that point, maybe he did on some others too?

Though it was still good to read the positive comments and sense the growth in maturity.

And we do not know what kind of guy he truly was in Buffalo , do we ?

I feel I read some good reports early on him. But probably fluff

I have some memory of being surprised when McDermott said some genuinely complimentary things about him during camp without being prodded to do so.

That's not something you see every day out of Coach and it gave me some hope that maybe he's learned some humility and an associated work ethic.

If his head is still in the right place, somebody is going to give him a shot; I hope it's us.

That's not exactly a fair or accurate representation of an injured player.

Injuries most definitely aren't why he went from being dealt for a high second round pick in 2022 to being a street free agent reaching for a life-line in the span of about 15 months.   Very little injury in his NFL history really.

He was a head-case in 2022 but should have lost any benefit of the doubt when he ghosted the Bears in-season in 2023.    That was crazy.    Typically only see something like that when a player is about to appear in a string of arrest/lawsuit stories.

The Dolphins gave him another shot and he just went thru the motions.   Only months later the Bills pick him up and fans expect him to be someone entirely different.

Wasted talent finally coming to the realization what an opportunity it is to play and earn a living playing football?

BINGO. If a young man can get his head on straight  in the right system.  yes Yes YES  let him try and compete. He knows that is all that he can ask for s another chance.

Domer Domer Domer Domer Domer. for purely selfish reasons I just think it would be the cherry to have a guy from ND. I'm biased as heck.

🙂

plus if he wins the job its WIN WIN

you have dislike for his play style

So you discount and  didn't appreciate  his first year in the NFL? no hints  of potential et all going forward after that eh.

okie dokie Im not going to argue with you at all. we'll see 🙂

I'm not sure what any of this history lesson has to do with the fact that you falsely accused him of quitting last year when the reality was he was injured while apparently having an outstanding camp.

Yes, hints of potential. But all the flaws we have seen since were on that film too.

What reality is that?

He was literally injured early in the first morning practice of camp.   He missed the rest of the day.   The toe injury "reportedly" happened just a few practices later,  though it likely is what happened in that first practice.   He didn't have an outstanding camp.  He was on the sideline nursing an injury the team listed as "day to day" for 3 weeks then he got IR'd on August 16.

The reality that he was injured and didn't quit, like you falsely accused him of.

He got hurt at camp but here's what McDermott (who has zero hesitation about calling guys out when they deserve it) said about him during OTA's:

"Very impressed with Chase, really just starting with his approach," said McDermott on Tuesday. "Here's a veteran receiver, former high pick that has been on a journey, right, through the course of his, recently, his career. I applaud Chase for coming here to see where things go. He's very focused."

"You don't find that a lot around the NFL, where a player has been at a certain level and then is on a mission, right now, to reclaim what he once was in that regard. Very impressed with his day-to-day approach, true pro, high character, smart player and been a good addition to the team."

"He's working extremely hard day in and day out and embracing, not just the wide receiver role that he could play for us but also the special teams role that he could play for us,"

So unlike your false claim that he quit, the truth is that he was focused, working hard and impressing coaches before he got hurt.

Oh so you are going to avoid your false claim that he was having an "outstanding camp"?  😂

OTA's. 😂

My mistake was misremembering that he was doing excellent work and receiving high praise from coaches in OTA's before tearing a ligament and a tendon earlier in camp than I remembered.

Your "mistake" was that he wasn't injured and instead quit, which is less a mistake than just another outright lie.
