He doesn’t have great hands but is real athletic and dangerous with the ball in his hands. I’d love to see Knox outta the backfield and the other 2 TEs as the traditional set. Not to mention the power run game we could create with an off set line, 2TEs and backfield of Josh Knox and Davis. I think Knox’s hands are just fine. They’ve improved a lot over the last few seasons 4 Quote

Doc Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I hope at least he's the blocker he's reported to be. If he is it's a great pick, any receiving ability will be gravy. Quote

The guy is the best blocking TE to come into the NFL in a very long time. If he can catch, and not even run, he’s going to be Josh’s best friend, soon. He’s one of the newbies I’m looking forward to watching. Metzelaars was 6-7 255, and had great feet as he was one of the best D-III basketball players of all time. Played 16! years in the league. Hawes is 6-4 and 255. 1 Quote

He’s been a reliable playmaker when called upon. He may not be worth his cap hit of 14M, but he’s a keypiece to our puzzle. we save 10M on the cap by cutting him after this season. I don’t think he’ll be easy to replace. I also don’t think he wants to play anywhere other than Buffalo. there may be some difficult decisions regarding TE on OBD next offseason. Does hawes show enough as a receiver to make Knox or Kincaid expendable. Decisions on Kincaids 5th year option and the 10M we save from cutting Knox and do we then resign him to a much lower cap hit. Hawes + Kincaid, Hawes + Knox or Hawes + Kincaid + Knox? Will Brady even be back to use these guys in that way and if not, who’s the new OC? I love this TE room. Enjoy watching them this year. Might be their last together. Edited 1 hour ago by NewEra 2 Quote

The questions then would be, if Hawes and Kincaid both have impressive seasons and look like a great star combo, is there room for him? If so, how little with he take or how much will Beane offer. Hopefully he doesn’t overpay. Quote
