The part we’re supposed to be talking about here. And be makes it so easy to dismiss anything positive he’s done because he acts like a spoiled 7th grade doofus daily. But I appreciate both your and @JDHillFan’s reply here. Basically, you know he has personality flaws (I’m being nice to have a civil conversation) because you feel he’s SUCH a good POTUS, the antics are worth it. Fine, maybe I’ll stop calling him your deity. But just you two, to start. 🙂 I’d still disagree with most of his policies if he acted like an adult, but the phone book long list of embarrassing things he does and says makes me truly baffled that the GOP couldn’t find an adult to do the job (remember, I think Biden stunk too). Ok, back to the RFK thread. This being civil feels weird. You have to understand, the GOP didn't want him any more than the D's did. But their rank and file DID want him. And after 4 years of hearing every day how he was going to destroy the country and cause WWIII during his 1st term, with neither actually occurring and after 4 years of watching the world burn during 46's term with inflation and illegal immigration running wild and his VP saying literally "nope, wouldn't change a single policy" independents held their noses and voted for him too. The GOP would MUCH rather have had a Romney or Jeb Bush as the president, but they didn't get their way either. And yes, his over the top NYC trash talking is beyond cringe way too often. And totally don't get his tariff centric economic policy. But his foreign policy is leaps and bounds better than what the D's have been putting forth for the past decade or so. And that fact that he believes we should actually have borders is also leaps and bounds better than anything the D's have put forth in at least the last decade. 1 3

Let’s get real: you conveniently erase Trump’s catastrophic failures - over a million dead Americans due to his COVID negligence, and the economic and health disaster he left Biden to clean up. Stop rewriting history and blaming the guy who inherited Trump’s mess. 1
stevestojan Posted yesterday at 03:00 AM Posted yesterday at 03:00 AM (edited) This is the most refreshing thread I’ve seen in quite some time. Well, minus my fellow democrat here. @Homelanderwe were doing so well. The Rs were making valid points and were talking about Trump the man at the moment. We’ll never ever find common ground when the “other side” is engaging someone like me in legit adult talk and you come in a crap on it. Pump the brakes every once in a while man. You and I are much more aligned politically than we are with B-Man and JD but they’re not ***** enemies. 2 hours ago, JDHillFan said: Me too. It’s stunning. We didn’t select Harris. Of all the things people call corrupt I’m shocked there’s not more talk about how that went down. Biden has a horrible debate after being locked in a basement for a year like Jake Fromm, then we dems don’t get to decide who replaces him. Edited yesterday at 03:01 AM by stevestojan 1 1

These people are beyond redemption - so deep in their cult mindset that no reasoning will reach them.

They don’t like the man, they wish he would shut up, but for the most part, they like his policies and what’s he’s done more than they dislike the persona. I will say I couldn’t disagree with them more on the politics, can’t even imagine thinking that way; but if we ever have a chance of the country not being at each others’ throats constantly, those are the things we should discuss. I’m not jumping ship. And there are certainly some on here on the right that are nothing but trolls (I’m being nice tonight, maybe just a small attempt at lessening the vitriol here, so I won’t name him but you know who I mean. Uses an up arrow so he can pretend he has the world on ignore; as if that’s some badge of honor. And another who literally only talks hate, never adding to the conversation.) But these three gave reasonable answers to my post. You have to agree there. Or maybe you don’t and let’s just keep calling each other names in perpetuity. 1

What specific portion made you roll your eyes? Maybe we can (seriously) have some conversation about it? Ie, what a message board is designed for. Curious what made you pick that emoji. 1

Another eye roll. Good one! No wonder literally no one can stand you here, @Homelander . What’s your goal on this board? To be the petulant child that you claim is the reason you hate Trump. Eyeroll this one too, but you’re currently no better than the MAGAs you talk about. Starting to think you’re a MAGA yourself and just trolling poorly. 🙄 Edited 6 hours ago by stevestojan 1 1
Westside Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago We won’t claim that a hole. As far as Trump? I voted for him three times!! And I would vote for him again if I could! I’d much rather read his “mean” tweets than see the leftists use the DOJ as their personal political weapon!!!! So yeah, I support and am VERY happy with the job he is doing. The fact leftists are getting their feelings hurt is just gravy!
