people who do gig jobs don't usually make much.   Oftent hey don't make enough to pay fed tax.  Billionaires pay a comparatively low rate.  the discrepancy in amount paid between a gig worker and an office worker is minuscule by comparison to the office worker (or doctor/lawyer) versus the billionaire.

real cons don't do theocracy:

“Gig jobs”. 🤦🏼‍♂️

People who do not meet the threshold for taxation are not the people I was referring to, but at this point we’re going in circles.

I’ll end it where I started—I understand your feelings, I just don’t share them.

I respect that but my take is that life is far from fair in all ways.  At least we could try to make it more fair on who pays to run the US.

FBI Uncovers Horrifying Extremist Reading Material In Mike Johnson's Home

BENTON, LA — The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced today that it had discovered terrifying extremist reading material in a raid of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson's Louisiana home.

"We were very troubled by what we found during our totally legal raid," said FBI Special Agent Curt Schampers. "When our tactical team breached the door of the home, one of our lead agents called our attention to a piece of reading material on the living room coffee table. The reading material appeared to be a thick, leather-bound book that had pages with gold-gilded edges. Clearly some type of radical, religious text. This type of book is normally only found in the homes of truly dangerous individuals."

MAGA pride

From an AP story on the failed law school:

And school officials, led by president Joe Aguillard, had grand ambitions beyond just the law school, which included opening a medical school, a film school and making a movie adaptation of the 1960s pastoral comedy TV show “Green Acres.”

How could this grand plan go wrong? Who wouldn't want to see a film adaptation of Green Acres?

The concern over “misinformation” is usually framed as people getting bogus news from randos on social media,

but what doesn’t get acknowledged enough is how media outlets that used to be trusted,

like Rolling Stone, the LA Times and NBC News, are now trafficking in propaganda.

When was RS ever a trusted news source?  Even for music?  Back in the 60's?

Oh, now do Fox News, Breitbart, and all the other laughable sources Bonnie shares and no one reads and see how they present information that you nutters suck up with a straw.

Meanwhile, the Tweet provided in the RS article clearly has the video of Creepy Mike talking about this software and how he uses it with his son.

BTW, you know who else used Covenant Eyes?

House Speaker Mike Johnson once promoted software he used to monitor his porn usage. Josh Duggar and Lamar Odom used the same program
