What will our "smart" congress ever do to save the economy, halt the recession and stop inflation without those 1.7 trillion omnibus bills and sending billions to Ukraine every quarter.

That money comes from the military budget, so unless you want to cut that then the Ukraine aid will continue since it’s supported by a majority of congress and the public.

I don't think it's possible for the point to go any higher over your head.

i just think its all funny that when the machine that's been grinding up Americans comes to a screeching halt based on what the outliers are "claiming" to stop corruption. people are mad about it.

there was a similar plan in place progressives wanted out of "the squad" to get medicare for all on the table. instead the people who claimed they were going in to fight for the little guy fell directly in line and gave every excuse in the book why fighting for them...just wasnt the right time.

the guy who suggested stop the vote can explain it better.

i just dont get what is at all wrong with not going with the status quo and using the little power you have...and will ever have to get what you were voted in on a slight chance to get done. thats a  bad thing?

who knew there were so many McCarthy groupies on the other side.

someone explain.

Dang!  You support Medicare for all?  They were being realistic.  Could never pass.  Too many wealthy (from money that should have gone to patient care) special interests.  It will take massive public pressure to git'r done.  Hop on the bandwagon with me!  I found it sad and illuminating that so many on the board were concerned at how Damar would pay his medical bills.

….and, on cue, the elevation of an election denier, who refused to acknowledge our safe and secure election of 2015, is lauded by a poster (and pundits) supposedly upset by such things, but support it 100% along party lines.

This is why it happens, and this is why it works.

i agree which is why i find this whole thing very refreshing. a side calling out its own. great! keep it up! a minority populist trying to leverage change? sure lets try it.

people complain about same old same old corruption..itll never stop then somthing unheard of takes place that goes against the grain and somehow there are people demanding "WE WANT THE MACHINE!!"

damn.

fair point but the more effective way is to stop voting for morons, especially in the primaries.  Give the people a real choice..

I’ll answer this ridiculous Tweet….how can you not? Because just have a speech that sounded like he won something that he just LOST….that’s how. Entirely inappropriate, but Hakeem (who’s always seemed like a likeable fellow to me) went for the cheap politics instead of the humble “we’re anxious to work with you Mr Speaker”….and then SIT DOWN!!
