GDT Thread! It’s here - ELECTION “SEASON” 2022 will conclude in 2023

I think it’s really sad the GOP got duped into thinking this was all over - because of 2020 and Ds who for weeks told us we won’t know for days! yet trot out Joe today to declare “victory” for losing the House and maybe the Senate.

I guess they are happy they didn’t get annihilated and that’s enough?

A hilarious admission they know everything sucks.

Yep.  Nothing unusual here except the same 2020 b.s.

This is not normal

FYI this will be part of DeSantis campaign - see no further then our Election Day vote count efficiency for how well we run things in Florida

And a catastrophic hurricane devastated us just 1 month prior.

Have you ever just considered that maybe the GOP just isn't popular with most Americans?

Im pretty sure Republicans, at least as of a few hours ago, were up in the House popular vote in numbers that would indicate a wave, but the allocation of vote for them didn’t line up in the right races.

Isnt pop vote the default excuse when y’all lose?

The problem with the assumption you’re making here is that there are House races that are uncompetitive or uncontested distort the national turnout numbers.

The only time where the same competitive election is on the ballot of every American is in presidential election years.

Yes, because people in NY, Cali, TX etc don’t just stay home because their state is always in the bag.

That’s not any different than what you just pointed out.

There are not enough facepalm emojis in the world for this inanity.

You stated every American, not every voter.

Not every American is a voter, and plenty don’t turn out because of the state they live in / apathy to cast a vote that doesn’t matter.  That distorts national pop vote, just like your example of uncontested/non-competitive races does in downplaying R’s having wave level pop vote margins as if it’s different.

It’s basically like Hillary winning the pop vote by +3 but Trump winning the election.  She underperformed, but mainly experienced some bad luck in tight margin races…. Lost, and Dems all ranted about pop vote.

I remember the dangling chads and pregnant chads and all that.  Florida has fixed their system and are the best in the business.

AZ and NV can't get their ***** together year after year.  Hell, even PA is doing better than them and they elected an undead dude and a dead dude.
