Yikes: Biden Campaign Calls Reporters to Wilmington to Issue Talking Points in Series of Meetings

by Nick Arama

The Biden team has spread this pleasant fiction about why Joe Biden is doing so badly in the polls in approval and against the leading Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump. The first part of the fiction is insulting and paints Americans as ignorant — they just don't understand how great Biden is and how much he has done, they say. The second part of that is that it's just the "messaging." They just need to work on that. So here comes the Biden campaign in a transparently bad effort to tell the media what they should be saying about the race and deliver the talking points for them.

Not knowing the Secretary of Defense was not functioning is the final straw of many final straws, including not being able to know where he is or complete a coherent sentence.

This Administration is dysfunctional, incompetent and needs to be replaced.

You would think that wouldn't need to be said.  But if you believe the popular vote in 2020, there are a lot of dumb people...

Biden and his buddies starting WWIII.  Wars in Israel, Gaza, Yemen, Iran, Ukraine, soon-to-be-Taiwan.  Meanwhile dopey Biden goes on vacation while the Secretary of Defense, unbeknownst to him, is hospitalized for four days.   On the latter, I completely get it.  Why would Austin bother notifying Biden?  I'm sure he notified whoever is in charge.

What a mess.

Joe Biden Needs to Fire Everyone Who Approved Last Night's Speech

By Joe Cunningham

FTA:

Biden's handlers either couldn't talk him down or actively encouraged him to make this public speech, and the White House seemed to think he would prove to America that he's still got it when he clearly does not.

This is not the management style it takes to run a country.

Biden is both a doddering old fool and an egomaniac incapable of knowing or understanding his limits.

This is the one issue the Biden team and the Democrats can't craft some kind of campaign strategy around. This is an issue that they have to do their best to mitigate or ignore, and they can't do that.

If they can't manage Biden's worst instincts (all of them?), then how can they say they can manage a country?

Biden Tries to Take Questions but Staff Cuts Him Off in Bizarre, Troubling Video

By Nick Arama

FTA:

Any time you let Biden out in public, you know his staff has to be holding its breath, wondering what he will say or do next that is likely to be embarrassing or further expose his issues. I don't know why they had him speaking with people on a porch, but that appeared to confuse him.

Wow.

The real powers are just coming right out with it.

This could have gone in the "Democrats are Panicking" thread also.

The Washington Post Published a Brutal Op-Ed Calling on Kamala Harris to Step Aside

86460c75-1ec4-4a97-a59e-fa4c73d6f132-105

You and I know that Kamala Harris was a diversity hire, a choice Joe Biden made to fulfill his promise of choosing a woman to be his Vice President.

Harris was that and more: she would become the Black Vice President as well as the first Vice President of Asian descent. Combine that with her time as a prosecutor, which allies at the time hinted would be how they would go after Trump, and she was the right choice.

Biden, according to reports, was also partial to her because, like him, she had "paid her dues" working her way through the political ladder, including time in the U.S. Senate.

But, that's not an opinion that is widely shared by the left. Some of them may think it, mind you, but they sure as hell don't say it out loud. Among other things, Harris is extremely volatile and doesn't respond to criticism well. Her office is reportedly chaotic, and her temperament isn't exactly helpful.

Imagine my surprise, then, when the Washington Post editors allowed this column to be published on Friday.

The whole column, titled "For the Country’s Sake, Vice President Harris Should Step Aside," is just a brutal explainer as to why Harris is such a drag on Biden's administration and re-election efforts. To actually see the sentence "She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security," from someone on the left is stunning, even if it's the most accurate statement regarding Harris' job.

Post Columnist Calls on Kamala Harris to Step Aside, Quickly Learns Why You Can't Do That

JOHN SEXTON

This isn't the first time a columnist has made this suggestion. David Ignatius suggested it as a back up plan to Biden himself stepping down last September.

In any case, it's true that Harris has been a disappointment which is why you don't see her much. Her approval rating is as low or lower than Biden's own approval rating. So if the party is committed to going with Biden which it is at this point, they could at least get a shot in the arm by picking someone else as VP who seems more up to the job of stepping in if something were to happen to Biden. It's possible to imagine an alternate reality where Democrats are able to a) admit they have a problem and b) turn the solution into a plus for the campaign. But that alternate reality isn't where we live as Kathleen Parker found out.

In the 24 hours since her column was published, it has received comments from 10,141 readers, a majority of whom just wanted to let her know that she is a racist and a misogynist. A sample:

  • Blatant racism. Why is the Post publishing such?
  • Fire that writer and ban her from these pages
  • what an awful misogynistic, racist piece of smelliness
  • Shame on you, your true colors are showing.
  • This is racism. Why did you publish this, WaPo? Fire this creature.
  • Like most republican women, Kathleen Parker hates women and the rights of women.
  • Careful, your southern plantation views are showing
  • Why is this racist disgusting piece of recycled hits on the veep WaPo's number one featured opinion?????
  • Is this the Washington Post or Fox "News"??
  • Such an ugly piece. I expect the sexism from the boy's club but it is painful to see it internalized like this.
  • What's the matter, Kathleen. Is she a bit too black?
  • What a sexist, racist, rant.

I could go on and on but you get the idea.

For a tremendous number of Democrats, the suggestion that Harris hasn't done a great job and wouldn't be a great president is racist, sexist BS that should immediately lead to the person who spoke up being fired or silenced. This is the party of identity politics.

The most amusing part of all this is that people seem to be mostly outraged by the idea that Biden picked Harris "because she was Black and female." But as Parker points out, Joe Biden publicly promised to pick a woman VP before he selected her. This was not a secret.

The reader comments to the opinion piece just reflect the DEI cults belief that identity politics and not performance or results matter.  But what they say probably won't get the writer fired or disciplined.  The comments were to be expected.  On queue.

The real question is what is the motivation for the liberal establishment controlling all MSM to authorize the Post to publish a hit piece targeting VP Harris?

I'll cross off telling the truth or informing thier readers of facts from the list of motives.

I'm not sure what is going on, but it is clearly evident that somebody is "managing" this presidency.

It is ridiculous to leak that he told Netanyahu to "take the win."

Stupid and unnecessary.

That, along with other leaks that claim that the US/administration would not support certain Israeli retaliation military actions vis a vis Iran, is intentional, and not something a president normally does.

We are in full reelection mode, and this stuff is counterproductive and purely political.

Not good.

LEADERSHIP: America Is in the Grip of an Antisemitism Crisis and Joe Biden Is AWOL.

Last year, Joe Biden gave a nationally televised speech at Howard University railing against white supremacy, calling it the "greatest terrorist threat" to the nation.

Two years ago, Biden made a national, prime-time address, telling Americans that Donald Trump and MAGA Americans were the gravest threat to democracy and that they “fan the flames” of political violence in pursuit of power.

Powerful stuff. Biden saw the opportunity and felt the moment was right to raise the issue of white supremacy and MAGA extremism to the level that required a national speech to address the issue.

Now, the United States is in the midst of an antisemitism crisis that threatens the lives of Americans. Biden has made strong statements here and there condemning the hate.

But far more is needed. American Jews need to hear more. Muslims who may be getting the idea that it is OK to hint at genocide need to hear more. College presidents, administrators, and leaders need to hear more. And students who stupidly, blindly believe Hamas propaganda and don't fully understand the position they're taking need to hear more.

Quote

Where is Joe Biden? He gave a national address hysterically warning about the extremism of his political opponents. He gave an address warning about white supremacy. But this isn't a political crisis where he can signal to one of the factions of his coalition that he understands their fears. He needs to deliver a national address condemning not just antisemitism, but the people demonstrating on college campuses as well. They are spewing hate, and all the "aspirational rhetoric" notwithstanding, this is a moment for presidential clarity.
