Why does learning all about our history make you so uncomfortable?

Again.  Someone has no idea what CRT is and how it's being taught in our schools.   You're being disingenuous or dumb if you think CRT is about teaching the history of race relations in this country.   Good lord...........

Again, someone who cannot give ONE EXAMPLE of how it is being taught in school and why it is bad...

If its being taught in school - you must be able to get yourself a copy of the lesson plan and syllabus?

PS: Referencing right wing opinion articles don't count...

CTR, appears to me anyway, to place 100% of the blame of the social and economic challenges of POC on white people, racism and white supremacy. Now while this may factor in its not the ONLY factor. I’m a HUGE proponent of looking inward and self introspection. We are all responsible for our successes or failures regardless of the roadblocks in our way. Ageism is real and having just turned 60 and a boomer I get it all the time. My response?  ***** it!  Who cares.  I’m going to succeed in spite of those roadblocks.  So this is why I have repeatedly said you dwell on the past all you want. It does accomplish some things but nowhere near what people, of any color, can accomplish by focusing on the possibilities of the future.

In your opinion what is the end game of CRT?

--snip---

What does critical race theory look like in practice? Last year, I authored a series of reports focused on critical race theory in the federal government. The FBI was holding workshops on intersectionality theory. The Department of Homeland Security was telling white employees they were committing “microinequities” and had been “socialized into oppressor roles.” The Treasury Department held a training session telling staff members that “virtually all white people contribute to racism” and that they must convert “everyone in the federal government” to the ideology of “antiracism.” And the Sandia National Laboratories, which designs America’s nuclear arsenal, sent white male executives to a three-day reeducation camp, where they were told that “white male culture” was analogous to the “KKK,” “white supremacists,” and “mass killings.” The executives were then forced to renounce their “white male privilege” and write letters of apology to fictitious women and people of color.

This year, I produced another series of reports focused on critical race theory in education. In Cupertino, California, an elementary school forced first-graders to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities, and rank themselves according to their “power and privilege.”

In Springfield, Missouri, a middle school forced teachers to locate themselves on an “oppression matrix,” based on the idea that straight, white, English-speaking, Christian males are members of the oppressor class and must atone for their privilege and “covert white supremacy.”

In Philadelphia, an elementary school forced fifth-graders to celebrate “Black communism” and simulate a Black Power rally to free 1960s radical Angela Davis from prison, where she had once been held on charges of murder.

And in Seattle, the school district told white teachers that they are guilty of “spirit murder” against black children and must “bankrupt [their] privilege in acknowledgement of [their] thieved inheritance.”

Great, thanks @B-Manand Jimmy - can you please reach out to those school districts and get the teachers plan, textbooks and syllabus? Would be great to review what is actually being taught; rather than hearing biased opinions... I mean, you can understand this request given that every source you share on EVERY topic is so incredibly biased and radical right wing.

Yeah, I'll get right on it.  In the meantime you can read this.

https://www.hoover.org/research/californias-education-department-chooses-critical-race-theory-over-100000-objections

Quote

The focus on critical race theory has been severely denounced, including by the editorial staff at the Los Angeles Times and implicitly by California governor Gavin Newsom, who vetoed the second version of the curriculum. This led to the watering down of CRT over each successive revision to the point that the critical race advisors to the curriculum resigned after the second revision, complaining that—you guessed it—racist and White supremacist organizations were trying to hijack their turf.

And then there is this.   And it's not the curriculum as much as it's the adlibbing the teachers are likely doing.  And no I have no proof of this but take the blinders off and deal in reality.

Schools that can't teach students basic math and language skills shouldn't be concerned with indoctrinating those students in race theories.  Plain and simple.  You end up with a population of dumb kids that hate each other.  What's the point of it all?  To spread hate?

I’ll tell you the point. It’s not complicated. BLM and other such race hucksters are at their core, marxists. They couldn’t give a rats arse about CRT. It’s nothing more than a means to an end. Get successful people to feel so bad about themselves that they freely transfer their success to the unsuccessful. They’ve tried everything else over the last half century and it hasn’t gotten them what they’ve been after. So CRT is nothing more than the latest ‘sugar coated’ story line. But make no mistake, the goal is EXACTLY what I stated above. We’ll see how many fools fall for this latest version.

How do we teach our youth without providing them a holistic perspective on our history? How can students have the necessary critical thinking skills if we censor our history?  You don't think these kids will figure it out?

It appears you know very little about CRT.  It is not solely about teaching history.  As a matter of fact it has very little to do with history.  It is a theory and history is very much rooted in fact not theory.  No one, not a goddamn one of us is denying the teaching of history.  But you keep going with that angle.  It makes you look even more foolish than you already are.

There is your mistake plain and simple.

Current Social Studies/History classes are NOT censored, in fact as my Teacher son states "We actually emphasize the mistakes and racism"

CRT (which you refuse to read about , to your detriment) is teaching history with a built in slant/bias.

No one should support that no matter what color or culture.

Again, and pay attention this time. There is no playbook   Just like when Doug Flutie was a QB he had no playbook.  He made it up as he went along and why I really hated him.  CRT is and likely will be taken so far out of context to push an anti-white agenda by many liberal teachers.  If you think this is not happening or will not happen I can't help you.

Now what part of CRT do you like and why?

You continue to misrepresent what I'm saying and avoid to main points.  Parents should be aware of school curriculum's and understand what their kids are being taught in the schools and be able to provide their input.  And if necessary vote out school boards and fire teachers that push their own beliefs and views contrary to the way those parents want their kids to be raised.  You know Democracy.  The people don't exist to serve the government.  The government exists to serve the people.  Whether you agree or not with those last sentences is the source of a lot of contention between what people believe.

And when did Critical Race Theory become history?  Its a plagiarized knock-off of Marx's Communist Manifesto.  Capitalism (White Supremacy) enables the Bourgeoisie (White People) to exploit and control the Proletariat (Black People) in order to enrich their class at the expense of the other class.  The means of production and output of society is a result of the work of the Proletariat (Black People) to the benefit of the Bourgeoisie (White Privilege).  Its a cleverly disguised con advocating Communist as a solution to the shortcomings of society.

CRT fails to account for the fact there are more than 2 races.  It fails to account for and explain mixed race people.  It fails to account for the fact that Native Americans got a lot worse treatment, genocide, than any other group.  It fails to account for disparities in how different classifications of Whites were treated.  Northern Europeans, vs, Irish vs. Southern Europeans.  It fails to account for the existence of Asians, Middle Easterners, Hispanics, and native Africans.  Many of which have joined the ranks of the Bourgeoisie, the upper and middle classes.  The theory would render such moves between classes and races impossible.   It assumes a zero-sum-game of oppressor and oppressed struggling to divide the pie.  It suggests that conflict among the classes, like Marxism, is the only viable solution to the distribution of power between the oppressor and the oppressed.  And that cooperation and mutual benefit, the foundations of free expression and trade and relationships is not possible.

It's theory that is proven to be false as a result of the application and examination of facts.  But facts are inconvenient to the advocates of this nonsense.  Its a road to nowhere.  Its complete Horse Crap.

‘RE-SEGREGATING AMERICA’: Interracial couple speaks out against Critical Race Theory and BOOM goes the dynamite

Gosh, this Critical Race Theory stuff really sounds like it sucks.

And luckily more and more people are speaking out against it … so much, in fact, that Democrats dragged out their favorite Divider in Chief to trash Republicans for seeing it as a threat. Luckily, the only people he appealed to were already supporting CRT so it didn’t really do much good but c’mon, man.

Maybe Obama and those pushing CRT should spend a little more time listening to parents like these two.

In case you were wondering, yes, Barack Obama is an a-hole.

Tone-deaf pr*ck still doing what he always did by making sideways, passive-aggressive digs at Republicans as a way to shut down any discussion. You know if Democrats are pulling this guy out the fight against CRT is getting bigger and louder.

Christopher Rufo was good enough to remind everyone of Obama’s history with and connection to Critical Race Theory:

So he knows damn well how dangerous and poisonous this ‘theory’ is.

And how it will only divide this country even more.

Which is probably why he supports it so much.
