What good is it's a public vote so each official has to actually go up to the podium and say Yes/No on the $2000. So we will know who hates the American people. Both can be true. There was no reason for Trump to put up a fuss when he was just going to sign it anyways and give people extra anxiety. If he really wanted people to get $2,000 checks he should've criticized the Dem House when they passed a bill last September that provided another round of $1,200 checks. He should've told Republicans months ago (when they were anti any stimulus checks) there's no way in hell I'm signing a bill that only includes $600 checks. His selfish temper tantrum cost the millions of "little people" who are unemployed a week's unemployment since they will only qualify for 10 more weeks instead of the 11 weeks they would have qualified for if he had signed the bill before midnight on Saturday. The millions of people who ran out of unemployment benefits before or effective Saturday will have to wait another week before their benefits resume.
