An obvious question is this, if and when rates go negative, how will commercial lenders survive? They won't. What will happen to the stock market? Collapse one way or the other. Why? Because most companies will be taken private again. Black Rock is at the forefront of this. Globalism as we have known it is dead. Free trade routes protected by Americans at no charge, that game is over. Now that the world is awash in US dollars, it is essentially heroin to over 200 countries. As we pull back our protections, all nations will forced to shorten their supply chains, build up their defenses while increasing their debts, and run the risk of being cut off from the dollar, which would cripple their ability to trade. Under Bretton Woods, geography did not matter to a nation looking to sell a product and ship to a buyer anywhere in the world. Sooner than later, geography will indeed matter again.
