Jests tried to reassign Rick Dennison to be a scout so that he would quit & they don't have to pay him

I agree.  But really bad teams lose to the good and the bad teams.  The Bills feasted on the same teams.

Next year, we shall see.

I'm worried about next year, we couldn't beat the good teams and the offense needs to get dramatically better for us to beat them.

We were one score away, in all of them except 1. Closer then you think.

Jesus, this is the same thing as if we kicked an extra FG or scored the TD instead of an FG in the Juaron ball days

Our offense is easy to defend, we have no players that require double teams or that will require game planning to draw extra coverage towards our average/below average talent. We need 1 great WR, an upgrade over Kroft/Simth at TE, another RB and we need to replace 2-3 other WRs (Foster, Duke, Easley, Ray Ray). We could use another RT as well.

Edit: We have the cap space to add of these positions and make a splash in the draft for one of the best WRs

Not really. We made the playoffs this time around and went 10-6 after resting starters for a throw away game(juaron was forever 7-9). We def need play makers, but its not like we need to rework the whole offense. Josh is expected to take another leap here in year 3 and I think with a new piece or two put in place this O can be really really good.

What were the records of the teams we beat vs the teams we lost to? How did we fair against the playoff teams? The offense is very easy to defend. Don't cloud your judgment on a cake walk schedule

6-2 is better than 1-7 -- no doubt. That said, the record is deceiving. They feasted on bad teams. Next year, just like the Bills they're going to have to face the AFC West and NFC West.

Not taking a side, but serious question: how many games did Darnold miss with mono? Was it five??? I really don’t recall.

I’m afraid the Jets will improve as Darnold progresses, and I’m afraid of the Dolphins getting a great QB and turning into a quality team with all those stinkin’ draft picks. BUT, as long as the Patriots* come in DEAD LAST in the AFCE, I’ll consider it an enjoyable year! At least in one respect.....GO BILLS!

Also, the strong finish was aided because we played backups - and still almost beat them.

IF they are really doing Dennison dirty like this, it reduces my fear that the Jets will get to the top of the division. Quality coaches and scouts want no part of crap like that.

I’d be disappointed if the Patriots suck and we can’t take advantage and some other team wins the division.

That is my PLAN (and expectation, actually), but that post was more about my FEARS!

We lost by at most 1 score, to all the playoff teams. Id say thats pretty close. You are going to be surprised this year when the offense takes that next leap. Remember this post.

This is true ^^^

It is everyone’s hope Beane and his crew kick some asz in FA & the draft, that and Josh cleans his game up a lot, oh and our pass catchers stop dropping the ball at crucial moments in games, jmo.?

Go Bills!!!

When Ralph fired Wade Phillips and tried not to pay him, that sullied the Bills' reputation for years, or decades.  The NFL is the Never-Forget League.

The Pegulas are a much classier combo than Ralph (and they don't employ Lippman, hurray!) and the success of McBeane has transformed the Bill's reputation.

Bills still employ Jim Overdorf who is also incompetent.  He is one who who crafted deals without "reach backs" on bonuses for players who are suspended.
