A 1989 cowboys thread exists on every forum, yet only one 1989 cowboys team has existed.

They aren't the 89 cowboys not even close.

I'm not saying they are the 89 cowboys, how bout just taking a step back and seeing the big picture. The good news is you can take Sundays off of football for the rest of the year if you'd like if you can't stomach it. Personally I'm going to really enjoy watching the progression of some of the younger guys on this team who I think could make up a good core moving forward.

Don’t even think about replacing .them.  We have to stop the revolving door.  It was one game.

Soon to be two.

Then three.

Then four.

Eventually you'll catch on to the pattern.

Pegula (Terry that is) doesn't have the nuts to fire anyone.  They will be here until their contracts are up.

HUH?   Pegula has run up a pretty nice track record of hiring, firing, and then continuing to pay those he has fired for quite a while now.

Where the hell you been?

5 years and best believe Terry is committed to giving them all 5.  It will be 2023 until there’s a new coach or GM

Totally disagree with that, given the right set of circumstances.

There are plenty of potential futures that will result in McBeane being gone prior to 2023.

Terry talks a lot to former NFL GM’s and Executives who stress patience.  They also know they can’t keep hiring and firing coaches/GM’s.  Terry essentially gave the keys to the kingdom to McDermott and he delivered a playoff berth in his first year as HC.  He is prepared to give McDermott all 5 years.  I’ll bet you anything he sees the end of the contract

So we don't "draft intelligently" and we don't "develop quarterbacks."

Some say we hire the "wrong people" and that we're a "dysfunctional franchise" with a "passionately unhinged" fan base.

However, we're still the only team to go to four straight Superbowls so BACK OFF!!!

Have you heard of Russ Brandon and Doug Whaley?  Both dead weights should have been canned when he took over as owner...He extended Whaley's contract in 2016 (FOR WHAT)and kept Russ around.  Kim probably had to fire Rex.
