As far as I am concerned the Williams sisters can dress however they want, they have been so dominant for so many years.  If they were all show and not backing it up, that would be one thing, but they walk the walk, and talk the talk. As much as Tiger Woods transformed the sport of Golf, the Williams sisters took that to several layers higher in the sport of tennis.

Serena has dominated a sport unlike anyone else. Ever.  Beyond Tiger, beyond Gretzky, beyond Brady, IMO.

(It doesn’t make the tutu a great idea, but I got a chuckle out of it, so...)

Is there any chance that marijuana is a stepping stone drug to [ fill in the blank ]?

What I think is ironic, and humorous if it wasn’t so serious, is that marijuana is being used to help wean people off opioids.

So now we have opioids as a gateway drug to marijuana.

The gateway drug theory is dubious at best.

Personally, I have imbibed for over 25 years and aside from some college-age experimentation with psychedelics I have never touched any hard drugs.  Never.

^^^This

I messed around with mushrooms, mescaline, and LSD during my freshman year of college.  Never even tried hard drugs.

I think I’ve posted this already, but a buddy who rarely even drinks said he’d smoke (as he did in HS and college) if it were legal and his wife didn’t give him grief. He thinks it AVOIDS the gateway threat because by legalizing it you aren’t going to a dealer who has other things on his menu. I thought it was a very good point.

I respect everybody’s opinion, but if this is just theory in your mind, but you have no exposure to the real world, you should probably listen and learn rather than opine.

You make a fair point.

Indeed. Fortunately, hard drugs that are far less addictive (or deadly) than many other hard drugs....and here you are, so it’s a good thing!

Edit: No way thumbs up a thumbs up? Here’s my solution. We are all lucky if we are still here.

Where did you grow up?

Wondering if we ran in the same circles.

and I fixed that for you.

Would you consider shrooms a hard drug?  I don't but if it is considered a hard drug, I've done hard drugs.

to me hard drugs are   Heroin, Opiods, Crack, PCP.

Anything made by someone you’ve never met.

I smoked with these girls when I was a teenager years ago.  This was the only weed that I smoked where I got extremely paranoid and my heart was racing....I didn't like it at all.

I met these girls at a club and went back to their place....had no idea who they were but I was a horn dog.  This stuff was obviously laced and I don't know with what.

I just remember feeling like I was peeing down my leg a few times in the night.  I went to the bathroom and I was dry but damn....that feeling was real.

This is a Legalization thread, and that’s one very good reason to be pro-legalization. You NEVER KNOW what you’re really getting on the street.

That was the fun part!  Being a stoner was like a box of chocolates.  LOL

I tried everything and anything.  Hated acid.  Only had one or two trips that I really enjoyed.

My wife and I were in Denver for a couple of concerts last month (keep in mind she's a Deadhead in the truest sense of the word).  We visited a dispensary.  I am wearing my "Kelly Tough" t-shirt.  The young man checking ID's at the door and the young man behind the counter were both Buffalo natives.  We got taken care of very well.  The tootsie rolls are great as are the honey sticks.  Smoke bothers me, but I really like the edibles.

We all have seen the downside of addiction in our lives...but this is one area where I believe the active ingredients do more good than harm.  I have seen firsthand life extension and pain relief value for both people and animals (our 15-year-old Queensland Heeler's arthritis is much more manageable) through CBDs.   Also, I feel a lot better the morning after a couple of tootsie rolls rather than 2 or 3 beers.  Just personal preference.

My personal preference too.  When I do too much edibles, I call it overshooting the runway.  I've overshot the runway several times in my life but the next morning, I actually feel really good.  It's a great sleep.  Beer or any alcohol when I overshoot the runway.....I want to stay in bed all day.
