A friend that lives in Richmond,CA (just north of Oakland)  has had troblems with both male and females camping and bathing in the creek ravine behond their property. Ii is about 20-30 feet deep. They yell in the middle of the night disturbing sleep. Yesterday, during the day they encountered a male that had broken through their fence (which is located at age top of the ravine He had taken some stuff and when confronted, he took a shovel they had in the yard and hit her in the face. She just had bruises and is OK. I suggested they install razor wire on the outside and top of the fence.

Got more details today. The guy was a druggie that was trying to steal their shovel.  Saw him in the act, ran outside and tried to spray him with wasp spray. That's when he hit her with the shovel. Called the cops when they first saw him. Took them 40 minutes to show up.  He could have claimed self defense and charged them. He was on THEIR property. The cops basically said they could nothing. They are talking about moving out of CA in about 3 years when they turn 65.

GOODER AND HARDER, CALIFORNIA:

CA gas could hit $8.44 per gallon in 2026 due to refinery closures, regulations.

The new study from University of Southern California professor Michael A. Mische examined California’s historical gas prices, oil supply and refining capacity, and modeled the likely impact of refinery closures and costly new fossil fuel and refinery fees and regulations.

“The shutdown of the two California-based refineries could possibly place the Golden State in a precarious economic situation and create a gasoline deficit potentially ranging from 6.6 million to 13.1 million gallons a day, as defined by the shortfall between consumption and production,” wrote Mische. “Reductions in fuel supplies of this magnitude will resonate throughout multiple supply chains affecting production, costs, and prices across many industries such as air travel, food delivery, agricultural production, manufacturing, electrical power generation, distribution, groceries and healthcare.”

Mische said the high delta between California gas prices and that of other states is the result of state taxes and fees, and policies that have reduced in-state oil production and refining capacity faster than gasoline demand has fallen.

Flailing Gavin Newsom Tries to Defend Chaos in the Golden State by Invoking… Jan. 6, of Course

The progressives have gotten so predictable that you can write their responses for them.

One of their cities is overrun by crime and homelessness? "But, but, Trump is Hitler!"

Protesters are throwing rocks at law enforcement, setting fires and vandalizing property? It’s “mostly peaceful.”

They call for violence, watch it take over their streets, and then say, “but JAN. 6!!”

Like clockwork, California Gov. Gavin Newsom sent out an email from his Campaign For Democracy PAC Sunday morning pretending that he and officials like LA Mayor Karen Bass are victims and that they aren’t part of the root cause of the violence that plagued the City of Angels over the weekend.

He went on to accuse President Trump of inciting violence, when Mayor Bass and other Democrats are on record explicitly calling for action. But of course, when all else fails, we can reminisce about Jan.6, as if that has anything to do with current events
