The Chargers Hire Phil McGeoghan as WR Coach - Bills Hire Terry Robiskie to Replace Him

Recommended Posts

Now Culley can move back to WRs and we can hire a QB coach with QB experience :)

Hoooooray. He is out of his depth.

They should just move Culley to WR coach and get someone else as the QB coach.

Ok. So who is still out there that would be a good find at this point?

Good. I believe he was unable to take Jones from an "A" college WR to a "C" NFL WR despite his very familiarity with the player.

I see Culley going to WR and Dorsey being hired....

If not Daboll will pick his guy with approval from McD/Beane

I don't think they fired him.  Can't find anything.  He must have wanted to go to the Chargers, and they let him.

Might have been mutual with Daboll coming on board as the new OC.

Wide Receivers Coach: Phil McGeoghan – McGeoghan is one of two new position coaches in 2018.  He spent four seasons with the Miami Dolphins from 2012-15, with his first three as the assistant wide receivers coach before being elevated to WR coach in 2015.  His promotion coincided with Jarvis Landry’s breakout season in which he set a then-franchise record with 110 receptions along with 1,157 receiving yards.  McGeoghan spent last season as the wide receivers coach in Buffalo after a one-year stint at East Carolina.

This is the most natural move ever.

Forgot about him. He is. Wondering if he joins the NYG  and follows Shula is some capacity. Other than that, the only names that pop into mind are Bevell and Alex Van Pelt.

Well at least Robiskie has a ton of experience with WRs.

He's been around the league for quite a long time in various coaching roles.

I feel like we dodged a bullet with him leaving.  We should see if Charges want to swap WR, Williams for Jones.

Maybe Castillo can find a new job.

He'll have a lot more talent to work with in Allen and Williams.

Thats good for him, but not sure why I would care.  I care about the WR we have here that will need a lot of work and Phil didn't do crap this past year.  Jones was a disaster.

Not sure why you would propose an unrealistic swap of Williams for Jones with no real chance of it happening.
