It's that characteristic that led to Mueller even being hired when he gave differing accounts of the reason for firing Comey. It's pry why his lawyers want him nowhere near Mueller. Not that he's guilty of anything related to Russia, but Mueller could easily coax him into lying about something completely unrelated.
