He was playing pretty great for GB before getting injured late last year too.

Bills got lucky to get him at the price they did.

Only second best FA pickup from Green Bay so far though..........Bryce Paup was FIRST TEAM all pro in 95'.

Then fell off the face of the earth after that year......I think Hyde will do better.

Great pickup by BB and McCoach.....looking forward to many more in the off season.  With Bill sin Playoffs it is gonna be an easy sell - plus the BillsMafia has been getting some serious props in the national media - that HAS to help some.

This was quite a signing, Poyer too.  It's remarkable that they found two Pro Bowl-caliber safeties in the same offseason, at affordable prices.  Really something.

McD's specialty is the secondary and he got about as much out of a secondary as he could have this season.

Not sure how much Whaley played into the Hyde and Poyer choices but he was great at finding FA bargains too........see Lorax and Z.Brown. who were both pro bowl quality and even bigger bargains.

Thinking BB wasn't even around at that time.

Brandon Beane had nothing to do with Hyde's signing as he was still employed by CAR at the time.

And I'd add Hauschka to that list.  This team doesn't win 9 games without Hauschka - more like 6 or 7.

Yeah the narrative on this season is entirely different without Hauschka.

We've KILLED coaches in the past for some of the long field goal choices they've made and Hauschka just made McD look good time and again.

They paid him well though so that shows how much they thought he could do just that.

Not having Hauschka kept Russ Wilson out of the playoffs and put the poor man's Russ Wilson in them.
