McD's specialty is the secondary and he got about as much out of a secondary as he could have this season. Not sure how much Whaley played into the Hyde and Poyer choices but he was great at finding FA bargains too........see Lorax and Z.Brown. who were both pro bowl quality and even bigger bargains. Yeah the narrative on this season is entirely different without Hauschka. We've KILLED coaches in the past for some of the long field goal choices they've made and Hauschka just made McD look good time and again. They paid him well though so that shows how much they thought he could do just that.
