oldmanfan
I believe if they claimed him, he'd have to be put on their active roster. I'm surprised no one thought he was good enough to put him right on their active roster.
Doc
I'm surprised no one thought he was good enough to put him right on their active roster. It's definitely odd.
North Buffalo
I'm surprised no one thought he was good enough to put him right on their active roster. Why not wait and if injuries occur claim off practice squad... low risk if you need a running back later in the year. LABILLBACKER
I'm not sure why they would do this since backup running backs are a dime a dozen. He actually signed for 337K which is still way above the 122K minimum. Smart move on their part getting a quality rb laying in the weeds in case of injury. Obviously they're not obsessed with whether he can play ST or not.

GG
I believe if they claimed him, he'd have to be put on their active roster. I get that, but that doesn't square with the high bidding war to put him on the PS. If he was worth paying $500K on the practice squad, there was definitely room on the active roster to drop another scrub, especially for a team like NYJ

And even they could have signed him to the active roster and cut their 6th round scrub and put him on the PS for a less.
